Film: Mr. Brooks
Yeah, yeah, I know what you are thinking, Kevin Costner, so far past the point of relevance he is but a speck on the horizon. Honestly, I thought the same thing and would never have gone to see this if I wasn't given an advance screening pass.
I was truly impressed though. Costner plays a bad guy (for the first time ever I think), Demi Moore plays the cop who is chasing him and Dane Cook is playing a straight man with moments of comic relief. Very unique concept, executed well, acted phenomenally by Costner and William Hurt, his...let's just say, confidante. I was also surprised by the amount of blood. For a thriller, it was pretty juicy. I do have some unexplained questions regarding his daughter's storyline, so hopefully someone will go see it and help me answer them.
As much as I hate to admit this, because I usually don't enjoy Costner movies, it has moved into my top three films of the year so far.
