FILM: Leaves Of Grass

I don't imagine an anti-drug actor would get involved in a project like this.

Don't see why they wouldn't. Weed does not play an integral role in this movie as it does in say, Half Baked. Sure it's called Leaves of Grass but personally I wouldn't classify it as a drug film.



Anyways, I wanted to give it 3.5 but rounded up to 4. It had some humorous parts and Norton is one of my favorite actors so the flick was thoroughly enjoyable. The ending was a bit unexpected although, as sinister as it sounds, I would have preferred

Not a huge deal though, definitely a solid film.

That's interesting since the whole thing revolves examining family relationships against teh subplots of competing rival growers, a kingpin trying to push hard drugs on a cannabis grower, and the cannabis grower trying to pay off the loan given to him to start a cannabis-growing operation.

Good movie, not very good and certainly not great, but it was definitely compelling.

Edward Norton is okay here. Definitely better as professor than the redneck-caricature character.

Tim Blake Nelson was very good in his role and as director he was very good as well.

I'd give the movie 2.5 stars.
