Film: Garage (2007)

This movie may just be one of the most upsetting things I ever watched.

It's also one of the best in a long time and tells the story of a small town imbecile, a simple man with a child's mind named josie being used, abused and generally living a very isolated life in a very small town and his attempts to find happiness over a summer.

It has funny moments and some great camerawork - set in rural Ireland.

The lead actor puts in one of the best performances I have seen, an unbelievable character study, from a man who normally works as a comic.

I have been wanting to see this film sooo bad! I was so surprised when I saw your post. Anne Marie Duff is in the film, she plays Carmel, I am not sure how big her role is, but I have really wanted to see it because I love her! I have also heard great things about the film and now you just confirmed it!

Only problem is I cannot find it for rent! I don't think it had wide release outside of the UK so it is difficult to find even a copy on line, but regardless, I am sure I'll see it someday and I am really glad you liked it.
