I have started to learn maya......this made me cry and want to quit using it. It is sooooo good that you just think..."why bother? These guys WHIP my arse 1000 fold" but then again, you realise that like 3 animators JUST worked on the hair, and 12 animators JUST worked on body movement etc etc with 4-10 animators working on everything from textures to backgrounds to special effects. And of course you are just thinking about the fact that you do everything yourself for one of your productions, so that makes me feel better.

But still, it is an animation lovers wet dream. I will get the DVD version fer sure.

Ahhhhh....I love this movie.=D

PS: I wish they would make a Hentai like this ;) LOL

haha, my thoughts exactly. fuckit, they're on a whole other level.

since then I've graduated and work in the 2-d design world, but damn this shit is still amazing.

Just got a hold of this the other day. Had no subtitles, so watched it in Japanese. Kinda got the story. Except when there was alot of dialogue i wanted to know what the fuk was going on. Visually stunning! Best animation i've seen to date. It is second to none. It was like watching the game getting played first hand, as the dialogue and fight scenes are what you would do in the game. Gona have to get a version with english subtitles so i'll be able to understand. Definately worth releasing at the cinemas as Spirits Within got release, i dunt see why this shouldnt.

7/10

its going straight to dvd for those who want to know. for those who are getting it through not quite so legal ways try also looking for the subtitle file. i just happened to notice that my file had an accompanying subtitle file that went with it. it was also a pain in the arse to find a video player to play the subtitles with the video since windows media player was being a bitch. dont remember what video player i used. i'll edit this post with the info when i get home.

edit I used the BSplayer. also the dvd was supposed to already be out but the date got pushed back. later this yr to early next yr is all that i have heard.

This movie looked great, but the story lacked and didn't do FF7 any justice at all. I thought it was just another shameless movie tie-in. They didn't have any time for character development because almost the entire movie was fight scenes (which did look good) held together with a weak story
