I thought this movie pretty much kicked ass. Russell Crowe played an awesome dumbass and Leonardo DiCaprio did what he does best (and has only done once before in the Departed: being a double agent/spy in the worst possible conditions). It's something about the way he looks when he gets angry and frustrated. It's terribly believable. I was a bit skeptic when people like Scorcese were saying things almost ten years ago like, "Leo is one of the best actors ever." I guess they can spot 'em better than me, because I always thought he was going to permanently look like a child. But just like Justin Timberlake, Leonardo DiCaprio is turning out to be one hell of a man's man.

I LOVED this film. It was smart, showy with cool technology, did a GOOD job accurately describing foreign relations, and just has a bunch of passion.

Okay, so I loved Blood Diamond, so hearing that DiCaprio was doing another international/intercontinental thriller got me very excited to see this. I loved the Jordanian offical - he was a great guy. The love story seemed a bit forced/unneeded at first, but it really did end up working.

Great film, definately 8/10.

Had the same tone as Black hawk down to it, no wonder with the same director.
Liked it.

Just watched and really enjoyed, surprisingly, might I add. Most films around contemporary conflict have a habit of becoming far too political, often in directions I disagree in which in turn distracts thoroughly from the film. This avoided that I thought.

Very much a Ridley Scott film.
I enjoyed hating Russell Crowe in this as much as I enjoyed Leo's portrayal of a CIA case officer in Iraq.
Better than other films of this nature like Lions for Lambs etc.
