Filling an old script

If I go to the pharmacy to have a script for vicodin filled, will they do it even though the script is a few months old (script dates in Jan)?

as far as i know scripts are valid for 1 year after they are written. if it's only been a couple months they will still fill it without question.
 
The above is correct.. unless otherwise dated, one year from the date on the script - HOWEVER, it's a narcotic, so they *MAY* call the doctor to verify ..
