Few questions

Recently I've become interested in psychedelic drugs, especially LSD.
I have close to no experience with these type of drugs though.
I smoke weed regularily and have smoked Salvia once, but that's about it.
Anyways, I have a couple questions regarding these type drugs.

First, some people say that after trying LSD, it sort of changed them mentally, and not exactly in a bad way.
What exactly do people mean by this and if you've done LSD, do you feel as though it's changed you? If so, how? and was for better or worse?

Also, I know most people are going to recommend Shrooms, but when starting psychedelic drugs, what drugs are good to start off with?

Psychedelics can change you for better or for worse. It's really in how you treat the drug, it will treat you the same way, if that makes any sense. I would not say that a regular use (monthly) is going to be healthy for a normal person. A couple life changing experiences with LSD is usually all one needs to achieve a very positive change for a lifetime.

There are many to choose from here. If you are in Europe, you can probably easily get some truffles as a good start. Also, for mushrooms there are the Hawaiian "blues" mushrooms that are very potent. If your in the states, you'll probably only run into gold caps.

It all depends on how strong your mindset is as to where to start. Some trips are harder on the head and some harder on the body. Do some more research to find what you can get. Here is a good list to consider:

1. Mushrooms (truffles, gold caps or Hawaiian "blues")
2. LSD (you might want to test your tabs to make sure it's not something else)
3. Mescaline (hard to get the pure stuff, but you can easily eat cacti)
4. Ayahuasca or DMT (drink the tea or get pure DMT)

Read more info on the psychedelic you are considering and find out what benefits you like best. Do you want a long hard trip, a long easy trip, a short hard trip or a short easy trip? You can control these variables.

Just research more.

with mushrooms you can take a low dose - like 1/16oz or so and it will probably be less intense than a single blotter of LSD.. that would be my only reason since i consider LSD and shrooms to be almost identical experiences..

i often have gained new insight into life and humor and the mind.. i think it has improved my outlook on a number of occasions.. :)

For the few years leading up to trying acid for the first time i was depressed, just kind of bored with life and all the bullshit i seemed to have to go through. Pot helped break up the monotony and i was content for a while. My first acid trip basically changed my perspective on the way i view my life. I went from seeing life for all the negative aspects while completely ignoring the good parts of it. I started seeing life in a positive light. And sense then i have had no real symptoms of depression outside one MDMA comedown....

I prefer acid, some people will say "mushrooms because they don't last as long" but in a psychedelic experience time can really cease to have any significant meaning. You shouldn't have anything planned for after the experience.

Acid was my first psych, and it was life changing in a very positive way. I don't know if i would still be here today if something had not changed my view on life, and acid did that for me.

Other than acid, 2c-b or 2c-i would both be a decent start.

I feel like LSD opened me up to viewing situations from others perspectives much mush easier and let me see the world for what it is without my usual blinders on. It also got me started on looking at a philosophy degree since I like debating things now

I feel like I have more control on LSD than shrooms, however a single dose of LSD gives me a more intense trip thank a single dose of shrooms would. If that makes any sense.

That all depends on the dose of either material. A "tab" of LSD means nothing; it could be 50ug and it could be 200ug. A single dose of mushrooms could be 1g or it could be 5g.

Generally 5g of mushrooms is going to be WAY stronger than 100ug of LSD.

I do agree however that the LSD state is easier to navigate. Mushrooms have a tendency to just grab you by the nads and take you for a ride.

A standard dose is 3.5 grams.

A lot of people recommend less for a first time though. Maybe 2.5 grams.

LSD has changed me for the better. It's given me a better outlook on life, more understanding of myself, spirituality, and the universe, along with hundreds of other things that I feel would be to long to type out haha. I <3 LSD!!

Also, like PepperSocks said, I find Mushrooms a lot more..."Dark" than Acid. As in Acid rarely gives me bad trips, and cid just seems more light and happy (although higher doses can get pretty fucking nuts). Whereas with shrooms it's really like 50/50 with good trip or bad trip. And even on a good trip it seems if I think about something negative it instantly gets darker or scarier with shrooms.

I def recommend LSD for first time psychedelic experience.
