The wave of vacuum continues
Sealing its wake
To a fate grim, indifferent
And so avoidably sure.
"Please, save me from myself"

Leaves continue to fall from the tree
Tumble down the neck deep pile
Land farther and farther away
Darkened by an imagined memory
Of shade and oppinion.

See visions of whats to come,
Don the kevlar shroud.
A logically broken chain.
Its exciting when its easy
Sleeping in a cushioned noose.

I know nothing.

Thankyou for sharing this haunting, striking peice of prose. Many of the feelings and ideas you've conveyed I think I can relate to deeply. I love how the last line shatters the rhythm, it made me sink low into my chair, with widened eyes and open mouth.

Very dangerous imagery, very unsettling - works beautifully, and shows just how deep your protagonist is sinking.
I know nothing.
Shows the emptiness of it all, amplified by the simplicity of the statement.
If you need someone to "talk" to , you can email me anytime Ant. :)

To be stuck and unsure if you want to move or stay there and let it go around you unawares. Fucking powerful piece here, Ant. Well done sweetheart, absolutely well done.
I'd be a tree in a forest with you anyday. :)
