Festivalgoers given chance to dump drugs

well, you'd have to be a complete idiot not to take it. either ditch your drugs and go into the festival, or get arrested and have the cops take your drugs. hmm, got any other brainbusters for me?

Perhaps the issue is that the standard procedure is to deny people access to the venue as well as confiscate any drugs found. I can't believe that until now, every single person found with drugs upon entering a festival the size of coachella gets arrested. not possible.
 
So are the cans at the entrance to the stages where the music is being played at, or is at the entrance to the camp ground?
 
So I am guessing there are dogs cause how else could they have found LSD, right?
 
Dogs aren't trained to search out LSD, sorry (in most cases, anyway; I assume it's possible)

It is possible, in fact a compound is available that mimics the smell of LSD allowing dogs to be trained to find actual LSD without any risk of dosing the handers of course.

I think the number of dogs worldwide trained in this way could be counted on ones fingers.

That's a lot better than making you ditch the stash first and then be searched. This way people can take the chance on getting stuff by security and if they are caught they only lose their drugs with no penalties.

It's a new game called "see if you can get past the cops with your drugs, one free get out of jail card included."

They had these amnesty bins when I went to Godskitchen Global Gathering in 2004 in the UK. The only thing different was the cops weren't searching people, just watching the bins.
 
I think this is a great idea! I am really surprised that they collected so much LSD though. I was also curious about the PCP vs. MDMA, interesting. It does kinda seem like a game.
 
Not to bad of a idea although i still think they should only take anything that can be used as a weapon and let people keep their drugs. But thats not gonna happen.

Im surprised by the amount of PCP they got. I didnt think that was very common in most places although it does seem to be making abit of a comeback. But the third most common drug to be confiscated jeez thats weird.

i can imagine how retarded it would be if they tried to search everyones stuff at reading.

whole cars and bags and tents.

i mean, fuck i'm taking tanks of nitrous, you'd easily be able to get one in a big tent bag. or bolt it to the bottom of the car, if you paranoid. =]

security was very lax for the most part

this has been done at most festivals. the last festival I went to some of crewgot busted with 3 1/2 lbs of pot, 1/2lb of cubensis, three sheets of lsd, 1400 in cash and pre paid visa cards totaly 750. all was confenscated and they where allowed in. if you put up a fuss then y ou were arrested, if you just let them take your shit, you were told to believe in jesus.


the one thing you mainly CANT get away with is nitrous tanks.
