Is this why the active ingredient in immodium Ad will stop the shits..just how other opiates will block you up..or is this just a coisidence

Yes it does not cross the blood brain barrier, but still can cause constipation.
I read high doses of quinidone with loperamide allow some to get through the BBB, enough to induce a high and respiratory depression.
You might be able to make a "loperamide polistirex" by binding it to microscopic pieces of plastic; it could potentially get through the BBB.....
