Opioids Fentanyl With Phenibut - HELP.

I am a new member here, so firstly, I hope I didn't post this in the wrong section by mistake...

I am prescribed both fentanyl 100mcg and oxycodone 20mg 4 times a day. This is for chronic pain I suffer in my bones due to a car wreck I was in when I was 17 (2006), I am 25 now. Anyway. I recently discovered phenibut. I used to abuse assorted drugs quite regularly. I thought this might help me stay off of them.

So I tried it for three days. at 5MG. I didn't notice anything. I tried it for two more days at the same dose. Again. Nothing. I originally got it also as sleep aid. I had just moved to a new area, so had trouble getting my prescriptions on time. Those knowledgeable with opiate withdrawal... Well. Suffice it to say I have per-existing insomina as the result of a brain injury (same car-wreck).

Anyway. I got it for sleep aid. Noticed zero-difference. I since got my fentanyl filled. Not the oxy, given my prices (uninsured, trying to get on medicaid now) I could only afford one. I picked the stronger one - fentanyl.

So I tried it two days ago. Noticed lots of results. Went a day off. Tried it again. 5 grams in the morning. Around 5PM I took another dose 3.5 grams.

That's when I lost all memory. I woke up in bed. I didn't even notice my girlfriend wasn't in it with me. But given it was night, I assumed we had gone to bed together. I go downstairs after hearing a loud noise. Sounded like one of the cats yowling. So I go downstairs. Girlfriend is there and mad at me for sleeping away the day. She then says I'm acting ridiculously high. I tell her I wasn't, true enough...

But I'm stumbling. I at first thought it was just from being drowsy. Then I began throwing up. Girlfriend was worried to the point she was going to call 911. I tried to convince her to stop. She thought I had overdosed on some drug. Which I can't say I blame her... I've done the gamut from heroin to cocaine in the past.

We both eventually assume it was the fentanyl. I had gotten a name brand of it this time. The gel kind. Which was quite a bit stronger. But it didn't seem right. I privately wondered if it was the phenibut but shook it off.

Today though? I am still feeling dizzy. Nauseous. I have read about phenibut sickness, but I wonder if the mix of these two made me that sick?

Thanks all. Any input is appreciated. I am better today to the point where I am not worried. But still don't feel right. I don't know if there is a way to counteract it? I'm replenishing electrolytes and hydrating. Other than that, I don't know much else to do.

I donno about interactions between the 2 specific drugs but.. opiates and things that effect gaba like benzos, alcohol and even phenibut can be dangerous to mix regardless of tolerance.
Plus that's a pretty large dose of phenibut plus you redosed with a fairly large dose.

For HR sake, I would just say don't do it again.

Try drinking a cup or two of coffee and see if it gets rid of the phenibut "fog" that it can sometimes cause after using it.. (especially when used in high doses)

That sounds like phenibut overdose to me. The stuff is super fat soluble, so it sticks around for a long time, especially if you take a massive dose.

You gotta start small and be patient with that stuff or you'll end up blacked out, like you just found out. It also potentiates opioids, just like a benzo would, and could lead to you aspirating vomit/not breathing properly. Be careful.

i'm also on fentanyl for years (the 100), among other, (a lot, unfortunatelly..), meds... I often try to find ways to get high, or ease the pain, cause sometimes it really fucks me up..8(. I'm sorry cause i don't know about this combination. (i've used pregabalin and gabapentin, not at the same time of course, to potentiate opiods, and they worked fine, pregabalin better, but this is not our point, so let's get back to the topic). IDK, phenibut sounds a bit dangerous to me..(well, every comb with fent is dangerous, as i'm sure you already know, since you're on it for years, and also you know your limits, but don't forget that fent is a bitch, and waits to bite you when you're sleeping..fuckin lol..8)..and true.)

Anyway, as you said, you took 5grs in the morning and 3,5grs about 5PM. You lost your memory cause you OD'd (obviously), phenibut recommended doses are 250-1500mg twice daily, so 3grams max daily (at least as wikipedia says). You took 8grs..but, (this is just my opinion, not a fact), even these 8grs, i don't think that would make you black out. (I repeat, this is JUST MY FUCKIN OPINION, and not the FACT..). But taking the phenibut together with the fent, things are changing, so the black out happened..and you just fell to sleep, as it seems, so consider yourself lucky, things could have been a lot worse...

Phenibut binds to the Gaba-b receptor, and maybe to the Gaba-a too. Also it crosses easily the blood brain barrier, and it's a substance similar to baclofen, which used by a lot of people to potentiate opiods. (And i know all these things cause i'm clever, don't think that i just read them at wikipedia, no, no..8).) Oh, and by the way, if i got it right, your girl's getting mad,!), if you're getting high, heh?..hhhm, i think this reminds me something....Well, what can we say, women, we can't live without them...%)

Anyway, hey my friend, and be careful if you make combinations with fentanyl, cause you know how dangerous the fent is, and what results it could bring..Be safe man, always start slow..(well, come on, i don't like fuckin preaching, it's totally out of my type..). And of course i hope the things with the girlfriend are allright..

Yeah, sounds like phenibut in combination with opioids; or simply too much phenibut.
I generally found with that stuff that I barely felt it on the day/night I took it, but slept incredibly deep/long and had felt much more psychoactive effect the following day.
Impairment of motor skills, appearing or feeling intoxicated and stumbling around almost drunk/extremely zonked on benzos - I'm sure as sekio said, the strong pain meds only exacerbated and potentiated such effects.
Probably not safe to mix with fentanyl...sekio sums it all up, really (as usual!)

Hey guys, thanks for all the input and welcoming. I had taken the phenibut before with my oxycodone, so I guess I didn't think too much about mixing it with fentanyl. I finally am feeling a lot better today. I only had about an hour or two of sleep last night. Combination of stress and not feeling the greatest. I think today is the last of it. I doubt I'll be using phenibut again though. I won't go into much detail but suffice it to say my opiate tolerance used to be off the charts ridiculous. I'm embarrassed by this, humiliated even. Yeah. It's making a mess of my life right now. Still dealing with the aftershocks.

Ha. I'd love one of my oxy to take the edge off, but have to get to my doctor's to do it. Uninsured... Stuff is expensive. I heard back from medicaid about a week ago. Telling me I am in consideration for it. Wish me luck gentlemen/ladies. As combined together uninsured my meds cost 660 dollars.

Good luck!! My medicaid insurance lapsed, so I'm feeling your pain...my meds are costing me TONS of money but Medicaid said to save the receipts and they will reimburse us.
