Not to be nosey, but may I ask if your husband scooped you up in his arms on your wedding day?
Mine did not.
May be why I am divorced. Lol!
Oh painful one so happy and relieved to see you back. However, sad to read all the pain and hospitalizations you have suffered. My dear, what a terrible thing to go through. Yes, Tylenol has a ceiling so once you have taken the directed amount it cannot help further, just do damage. I did not know where you went. Glad you are back. Oh my goodness I imagine being stranded somewhere without my meds ! Is this life or death ?
Thank you sweetheart. I appreciate that. Yeah, I had no idea about the Tylenol. I had no idea about any of it until I found myself drowning in it.
I could not understand why the pain did not go away. I thought it would if I just gave it time.
It is a miracle I hung in there as long as I did. I worked full time through the year without sleep.
I do NOT want ANYONE else to experience what I endured. Unspeakable it was.
So, I try to advise where I can.
This website is a life saver.
I wish I had found it sooner.
There are great people here whom I love very much.
We have all been through a lot together.
It is just nice to find others who understand!
This kind of stuff can make you crazy.
This group of people have much wisdom and experience.
It does feel like death at times doesn’t it?
I have found it is a matter of Management.
Managing the symptoms, pain, and medication.
It is hard with chronic pain/injury because the pain medication is addictive.
It can also cause more pain if the dosage is not right.
You need a pain management doctor who knows what they are doing. So important!
I have a family member giving my pain medication to me so that I don’t overuse it and get myself into big trouble.
Withdrawal is horrific.
Opiate withdrawal actually feels like kidney failure. (Yeah, I had that too).
When I first showed up to my doctor in withdrawal I told him I was having kidney failure.
It feels very similar. It is serious stuff.
He said “it feels like kidney failure huh?” I nodded and told him how much I appreciated that he helped people like me.
Not many doctors actually care anymore. They are not willing to jump through all the regulations and nonsense the lawmakers have put on them.
Yet these same lawmakers are doing nothing about the huge fentanyl problem that they have let in!
Once you get started on a medication, it is very hard to switch medication or to reduce dosage.
It must be done slowly and over time with small cuts and waiting for your body to adjust.
That holds true for pretty much all medications.
Gabapentin and antidepressants included. Do not even try to just cold turkey any of those.
It must be done slowly and over time.
Yeah, being stranded somewhere without your medication is not something you want to experience.
Although, you probably have, just as I have.
I had to learn to MANAGE it so that doesn’t happen.
It gives me piece of mind to have some Kratom around just in case.
Many people have to find and go to Methadone clinics as a “guest” when they leave home.
I am glad I have medication that I can take with me.
The mornings are so bad, I don’t think I could make it to a Methadone clinic to get relief.
I know there are a lot of people with chronic pain, injuries, illnesses that should not have to go to the Methadone clinic for help!
It makes me furious.
I guess we all have to do what we have to do though.
You will find your way.
Just don’t give up.
Keep on trying. It is a trial and error type thing. Especially with the problems that exist now to even find medical help!
Keep talking and research things on your own.
Do the best you can my friend.
I send my love and lots of hugs.
You are not alone.
