Anybody who uses digital communications deserves all they get. If you want secure, you go talk to people. Even some 25 years ago we had a 'no mobile phone' rule around ops and even the mobile phones we did use were burners.

But I guess people feel the need for a home computer in their pocket. We actually found a company that sold kids mobiles in pink or yellow (very fetching) that in bulk cost about £10. So every week, chuck them away.

A friend wisely noted that law enforcement has budget constraints like everyone else so if you present a hard target i.e. the cost of investigation is high, the likely result low, they will choose someone else to bother. I don't say it's foolproof, but decentralization is done to drive up costs of 'watchers'.

Well, if one needs to perorm a B/A extraction, I suppose Home Depot caustic soda (Sodium Hydroxide) would be fine. I'm uncertain what solvents are available in Canada, but even in the UK one can by methanol, dichloromethane and so forth without needing to explain why.

I mean, when you scale, solvent management becomes a significant issue. You don't want to dump a solvent that may contain traces of an intermediate or worse, traces of product.
