Fentanyl Patch Q

Does anyone know if Fentanyl patches use DMSO as the agent for transdermal transmition?

Just curious, might experiment with the gel and DMSO if that is the case, but I have been unable to find info on this.

DMSO will always increase the transdermal transmission of drugs, but be aware that DMSO produces garlic breath as a side effect.

I had no idea DMSO gave you garlic breath, thank God you mentioned that or I might have found myself in a crummy situation.

I know it (DMSO) does increase transdermal transmition, I was wondering if this might be used as a way to increase the rate of transdermal transmission in the patches, or to perhaps even replace the patches entirely (the gel itself mixed with DMSO).

Although that garlic breath thing, in my line of work, could be one of the worst side effects ever, I guess I'll have to table this project.
