Fentanyl Overdose

This was in my buddies loved ones system based off of toxicology reports. I’m trying to help him figure out if this is an obscene abnormal amount of fentanyl & drugs for somebody who has been using for a decade to take or if this is a typical amount to accidentally overdose on. I was trying to convert it to grams for them but I can’t figure it out and I have no clue if this is a lot of drugs or not.

Fentanyl- 330 Ng/ML
Nor fentanyl - 140 Ng/ML
Para- Fluorofentanyl - 28 Ng/ML
4-ANPP 78 NG/ML
Benzoylecgonine 200 Ng/ML
Codeine 9.0 Ng/ML

So ummh, I can't speak for how big the doses were, but were they using heroin and meth? Because that's what it looks like with the H laced with fentanyl.

I’m not for-sure! I do know they used meth & heroin. But the last 5ish years was mainly fentanyl. But hard to say they used all over the board. Nothing was off limits. But from what my buddie does know from cops was fentanyl was the last thing put into there system with a needle.

Tolerance plays a big role in how much would be fatal so I think it's really difficult to say from numbers like that

SNAFU: would know about drug interactions and other factors. He was highly intelligent and very knowledgeable, especially about drugs, computers and chess.

All because we have different political opinions doesn't mean, I will call a highly intelligent person, stupid.

Tolerance with any drug comes into play at the longer you use it. I was getting powdered Fentanyl which was probably just garbage mixed with a miniscule amount of fent in an eight ball, and in the beginning it would last me 2 weeks after a couple years it lasted Me 2 days but I finally did something last month in the name of harm reduction and saving money lol. I just took one gram of the material put it in a Visine bottle it filled with sterile water. I just took two drops one in each nostril and that was enough to keep me out of withdrawal so now I just went from the ball lasting two days to almost a month!!!! And I'm starting to lean back from that. For years I kept on saying as soon as I get it I'm going to mix it with water and do the Visine thing and every time I just put out a rail LOL I wish I did this so much earlier

I did attempt to find the full articles using paywall removal services and a few online Sci Hub alternatives but I'm afraid I had no luck.

I have noted that the reported quantities of fentanyl in 'dirty 30s' had got to quite staggering levels i.e. >15mg per tablet.

Fentanyl has very low oral bioavailability so MAYBE if you were to swallow one of those fake pills, it would estimate 30mg of oxycodone. But I have no way of knowing, fentanyl was roundly rejected by UK users. Sadly, I have to point out that journalist that deal with forensic medicine are the ones with the data you want. The overview sections are generally not behind the paywall so you could sit down and build a big list.

Aight so yeah fatal dosages are strongly tied to tolerance however it is pretty easy to calculate the general dose or at least what was in the blood at the time of death.

I'm just going to add all the fentanyls together to get 498ng/mL we convert to mg to get 0.000498 ng/mL and if we assume an average adult male has 5500mL blood we multiply to get an estimated dosage of 2.739mg. While the DEA considers 2mg a potentially fatal dose, from what I understand that is not a huge dose for an tolerant individual. There really wasn't a significant amount of morphine but he was clearly on a bunch of different drugs. The benzoylecogine is indicative of cocaine use.

Well using the same formula we can estimate the total methamphetamine dosage at around 9mg. That's not a huge dose either and makes me think maybe he was not using meth at the time of death and it was clearing out of the system. I could be wrong.
