I was so much older
And probably had sex more cuz I've lived longer
But one day, she sat on my patio
And explained to me how Birth Control Pills work.
She had long beautiful blonde hair
And a smile to kill
And you knew there was a peace about her
That I simply cannot explain till today
Her posture always said one thing,
"I am so cool with life".
Yes, brothers, friends, dads and uncles.
She and I DO talk about Old Navy
And men's butts
and ugly men we NEVER fantasied on
And where and when to go
to get the best discounts
And why we think a different hairdo
Will make us better people.
But she knows my fears
And I know hers
She knows my happiness
And I know her smiles.
She knows my theories
I know her philosophies.
She knows my boundaries
And I respect hers.
But most importantly,
I know that when I hug her next,
It will be two souls hugging
In sincere honesty.
Cuz at the end of the day..
We are but two travellers
On the path of life,
Who have met each other
And found a safe place
To remain ourselves
And to remain true.
And then..to remain high
And help each other rise higher.
That's friendship, in it's most treasured, most purest forms.
Thanks PixieGirl for walking into our lives, I'm honored and very excited about getting to know you a whole helluva a lot better, for I love the person I see in you already

I am at a loss for words. Thank you so much. I am so glad that you and I have been able to open up so much to eachother, I treasure the talks that we have had. I know that you are a special person that I want in my life to share things with and to receive advice from. Isn't it strange that two women who say men are their best friends can bond in a way that no man would ever know? In the short time that we have known eachother I feel that we have a unique bond that I want to share forever. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for both of our lives and I know that no matter where life takes us, you have made an impact on my life that I will remember always. Thank you again for always making me feel good about myself, it is nice to know that someone notices how hard I try.

I have had the unique privilege of seeing Writnpage create some of the most amazing gifts while we have grown together. Quite often she'll just pull something out while we're visiting with friends when I least expect it that just blows my mind with the depth of her expression and gratitude. But this was a special surprise to stumble across because I wasn't sure who it was about. In the back of my mind, I was thinking PixieGirl, PixieGirl, please let this be for her! I was so happy when I reached the bottom and found it was. Pixiegirl, I am so so very glad that she wrote this for you because there is none so deserving of the warmth and recognition. You work so very hard to please people around you, and we both want you to know that it hasn't gone unnoticed. Thank you for coming into our lives!

That is so very beautiful,,
Real true friendship are so very hard to find
cherish them no,, don't take them for granted cause when they are gone there is no second chance at things you have to say

This is a beautiful poem...I have a friend like that too, we met kinda randomly at university just last year and what you wrote is exactly how I feel about her...thanks!

Writnpage - this was one of the first poems I read when I first came here, and it's stuck in my mind. I'm glad to see you bumped it up.

Writn, I've never met you in person or even talked to you to the length that some people have, but you are a special person. Thanks for this poem and its beauty.
