Not exactly sure if this is the right thread...
But I had some wierd thing happen to me last night. I had been injecting oxy-contin a couple of times and about an hour afterwards I was just laying there when I started to feel cold. It wasn't exactly a hot night, so I thought nothing of it.
Soon however I became colder and colder, even though I could tell my body actually wasn't cold. I was shivering uncontrollably and was in a lot of discomfort.
Could anyone perhaps shed some light on the cause? Was it a dirty needle? Seretonin synrome? I just have no idea what the hell happened. It subsided in an hour or so and I went back to normal.

Sounds like an immune system response to foreign bodies in your blood stream. Septicemia, cotton fever, or just a bad histamine reaction. The cold feeling would be a symptom of a fever and/or shock.

Of course these are just possibilities but reading up on them couldn't hurt.

It could have been a number of things, as amapola mentioned.

Feeling cold/shivering is also a sign of opiate withdrawal.

We can only speculate as to what happened, if you were following HR procedures and using clean injection and filtering systems you can knock those possibilities off the top of the list, but again, we can only speculate and there isn't any HR value in that, because of this, I am going to close this thread.

PM me if you have any questions.
