Hey,

I use each days meditation but more precisely self-hypnosis for my fibromyalgia ( chronic nerv pain) I tried last night to do it under 3mg xanax : impossible.

Anybody got anything related ?

Actually benzos help alot. When I was having all my insane panic attacks and anxiet the only way I could meditate was on benzos.

I have fibromyalgia as well so let me know how self hypnosis works.

Benzos usually make it harder for me to meditate (or whatever may be similar). I think anyone who takes a high enough dose will agree. They ground me, like a cross between antipsychotics and alcohol. After smoking good bud I began having these mental 'abilities' like making objects glow and I strongly feel that lorazepam and zopiclone (Lunesta/Imovane, benzo-like sleep aid) played a large role in destroying them.

Anyone who likes to manipulate their own mind, beware of benzos, sleep aids and antipsychotics!

thx for advice Lord

Self hypnosis is based on a work during 9-10 session with a psychologist and into a relaxing state, alpha brainwave, practice a work locating where your pain what color, the form. And a lot of breathing work for expulsing all pain. And then you should be able, with a lot of practice, of getting into this state just with a sign you choose. Like closing strong your hand or cross your fingers.

But didn't work great on me... have to take Bupe for pain :S my doc is crazy

I can't meditate. In rehab every morning everyone was supposed to lay down with their eyes closed to music to become tranquil or something. Well I have ADD and I'd just move all over the place and wanted to talk or laugh. I was also on amphetamines and benzos. I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I could not focus on nothing. Way too tough.
