Some Rocky Erickson / 13th floor elevators.

And finally - Animals - Girl called Sandoz.

Failing any of that due to a lack of supply - may I suggest that the entire Nirvana discography be provided instead.

Although on one occasion, a friend and I decided to put this on instead : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oz_qebjtlts

It became our mantra for the evening, and felt like it went on for 3 hours :D

How about you?

Both fucking excellent bands. The originals (circa early-mid 1960s) has not - and will not be surpassed....excepting jimi hendrix, but that motherfucker was from another planet.

Ah I fucking love the Holy Modal Rounders! (and the fugs) - didn't think there'd be anyone else here!

You seen Bound to Lose?

I can't find much of them online but there was an Italian psychedelic garage rock group called 'Astral Weeks' and they released an LP called 'A Yellow Dawn'. It's such a great tripping album.

Made up from some of the members of Effervescent Elephants, but really quite different stuff.

Also - Not really psychedelic, but the whole of Dylan's 'Live 75: Rolling Thunder Revue' is excellent.

I inevitably end up putting on Dead Set or Europe 72' also.

I used to listen to the Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails while tripping and if I smoke I like Pink Floyd Animals,Wish you were Here,Dark Side of the Moon,The Wall all complete albums!

I always " trip out " when a Backstreet Boys album is played. +1 for marley g

It's true the songs that aren't speficily psychedelic can be the most mind blowing when tripping. I'd had some shrooms years back and was just hooked to mainstream radio. Strange stuff indeed.

Maybe not entirely rock, but I thoroughly enjoy songs that aren't built with a classic verse-brigde-chorus, but songs that feel larger than life (to me).

Steven Wilson - Harmone Korine

That buildup still gets me, every time.

Procupine Tree - Arriving somewhere but no here

Never listen to them sober. I just want to save and muster it for a trip. Sweet lord, this song has kicked me around every emotion known to man.

Jack White - High Ball Stepper:

This song makes me feel like I'm tripping, standing on top of a space shuttle being launched into space, being blasted face-first into the cosmos. Even the clip is entertaining to watch.

Sisters of Mercy - More:

The sound of this song is so big, I really feel like I can walk around in it. Andrew Eldritch is like a caveman with heartbreak.

There's more, but I'll limit it to these few :)

You probably would have never guessed, but Dark Star happens to be a favorite of mine (by the Grateful Dead)..
