i think Meat Puppets is a great name. when i hear it i think of hot, heavy greasy bags of man meat, like the roasted turkeys that come out of the oven in bags i slice at work. it's gross and slimy and most certainly delicious, and their music sounds like that. mmmm meat puppets. in or around my mouth.

I like weird names, funny names like Adolf plays the Jazz (come on it's hillarious), or Giraffes?Giraffes! and We were promised Jetpacks,...

On the other hand Have gun, will travel is a really nice band name, but I really don't know why :/

The same goes for Motion Sickness of Time Travel .

Labradford sounds really cool, must be the letter distribution, and no particular meaning. I guess.

Its damn hard to pick a good name, I need a name for an ambient/postrock band, but so far, the only one which almost stuck was On the Rugs, but then we figured the pun wasn't worth it 8)

Kinda like The Xx, only I deny seeing any elegant simplicity, and a mere attempt at being more goth than anyone else. Nihilistic.
However, I like their music.
Perhaps there should be a thread with band names we DO NOT like, if that hasn't been done.
