favored hangover beverage?

Beer. Im sure it contains the water and carbohydrates I need and has some wonderful anaesthetic qualities.

pickle juice, gree-tea with honey, sporsts drinks, milk, water, activated carbon.

The side effects of aspirin, Tylenol and ibuprofen can be magnified when alcohol is in your system, so it is best (even though it may be the first thing you reach for) to avoid them to kill the hangover pain. Aspirin is a blood thinner, just like alcohol, and can intensify its effects and Tylenol (or acetaminophen) can cause more damage to your liver. Ibuprofen can also cause stomach bleeding. So be cautious when going for the quick relief.

These are certainly liquids you can ingest, but I'm not sure they fit into your classic definition of "beverage" - either way, these will T.K.O. your hangover about 40 seconds into the first round.

1) Bhang lassi - a concoction of cannabis. What else needs to be said?
2) CWE codeine or other opiate/opioid - no-brainer.
3) Midazolam solution - goodbye hangover.

Otherwise, I go for juices with lots of vitamins, beer, energy drinks, and plain old water.

A good way to reduce the hangover is to drink lots of water BEFORE you go to sleep and get your hangover. That way, you won't be way dehydrated when you wake up.

I eat a big greasy meal lol and drink lots of water. Excedrine migraine (assuming you dont still have alcohol in your system) or opioids if you got them. Fast acting benzos work nicely. Vitamic C is good too

Lol@ Bhang for a hangover. That shit will make you forget all about your hangover and everything else.

In a similar vein; I once took lsd while hungover and it did me the world of good. Only problem was I was tripping for 7 or 8 hours afterwards.

Rockstar Recovery or sugarfree NOS. L-carnintine with the taurine is likely to help with the fatty congestion in the liver from a night of over indulgence. RR has electrolytes, its a light lemon-ade flavor. NOS is impressive for having 200mg of the L-carnintine per serving. No fear would is a good third.

NSAIDs like ibuprofen or excederin are less than ideal because alcohol already thinned the mucosa that protects the stomach lining and an NSAID might push you closer to gastritis or even ulcers. Plus with the exederin there is the apap issue on a strained liver. Coffee can be helpful but it can set off or worsen a headache ime. Heavy drinkers who drink coffee regularly are turning out to be far less likely to have liver pathology.

When I first get up a few bottles of water and red gatorade. If in a few hours I can stomach it then I'll get a cheese steak and chase it down with something sweet so that if I misjudged it doesn't taste too bad coming back up. I never had any luck with hair of the dog treatment, it always just made me puke haha.

Alot of people I know swear by coffee or energy drinks but since the best hang over cure for me outside of the food/beverage department is more sleep they never were a good choice for me.

I always downed a large glass of milk (more potassium than bananas to get the electrolytes back) with a couple of ibuprofen and then returning to bed. Upon waking up for the day, a large Gatorade and some bc powder and I'd be good to go in an hour. Of course if your camping or on vacation you can always smoke a bowl and drink a beer with breakfast and your good to go for a couple of hours. Short nap and then it's back to party time.

nothing spectacular: juice, some dhc & benzo...finally tons of green tea and coffee.

If it is nightmare hell: hair of the dog

V8's are a good idea.

The morning-after thirst was always my least favorite aspect of alcohol overindulgence, back when I was drinking. (It has been close to a year since I've even had a beer.) Over the years, I tried a lot of different beverages, but the one that seemed to work best at rehydrating me was Gatorade, particularly the "Rain" version. It is very light, with just enough sweetness to kill that nasty taste in the mouth, and goes down really smoothly. In fact, I used to leave a bottle out on my nightstand so I could glug it down as soon as I woke up w/o having to get out of bed.

Another things I always seemed to want the morning after was chocolate milk.

diet ginger ale; I'll wake up chugging can after can of that shit after a night of drinking. I guess it would be better to do that with water, but there's just something so satisfying about carbonated water.
