It is my sad duty to report that our lovely ms. effie has had to step down as a moderator of The Dark Side for the time being. Since we've just brought badfish45 on, we're going to forego a call for applications for the time being, but in lieu of that I'd like to formally and publicly thank effie for her absolute first-rate modship during her tenure here. She has had to deal with such difficulty in the past year, and the fact that she was still able to come here and volunteer her time and expertise with us, providing a wealth of experience, knowledge, sympathy, empathy and just general awesomeness, well.. it just blows my mind!

I have it on good authority that she'll still be around, and I fully intend to hold her to that ;)

So let's hear it for effie!
 
Effie, I would like to thank you for all the advise and insight you have given me and all that you have given to everyone here at TDS. I can say for me, TDS will never be the same with out you, and I will miss you greatly! I hope that thing continue to get better for you and remember that you have some wonderful friends here, I being one of them. Please feel free to stop in at anytime even is it is just to say hi. You have been quite an inspiration to all. Please just remember not to let your mind run wild with negative thought, things will continue to get better as time goes on. We love you Effie!!!! <3 Will miss you here!

It usually goes unsaid, but it shouldn't. Dark Side moderators handle the most important work on BL. What goes around comes around. Enjoy the extra sleep! :\
 
Thank you for all you have given here in TDS. Your contribution has been amazing. I cannot even begin to say how much I am going to miss your presence here. When you responded to a thread we always knew that the response would be heartfelt and empathetic, but beyond that, informative and backed up with so much knowledge. You have helped me immensely, by being my friend in grief, by helping me remember and by trusting me with your grieving. I know that will continue but I will still miss your daily presence here, both because you have helped me with the finer points of being a moderator and because seeing your avatar never fails to cheer me up!

I wish you all the best in your journey to set your life on a course that feels right and good to you. It is not always easy to figure that out. I have full faith that you can and will. Much, much love,

Effie your influence on bluelight and in TDS has been so grand. You truly are a good mod, are very knowledgable, and compassionate. I appreciate you dearly. <3
 
Thanks so much, effie! You've done such a good job here and were a source of strength to many despite the hard time you're going through. Hope you keep posting in here!
 
A shame to lose an awesome mod. I hope you'll still be posting here as your posts were always insightful, and full of both incredible knowledge and understanding. Empathy in the levels you have it is an amazing gift to all those who cross your path. Best of luck with your new modding duties elsewhere on BL. :)
