FAQ on methadone?

hi.. so I have a question. I moved to Israel and can't get any heroin here, but I just found out I can get methadone.. I was wondering how it is.. like can you eat on it, or does it take away your appitite.. does it even feel like dope? anyways.. thanks a bunch.

Methadone does absolutely nothing for me BUT I have friends that love it & get really high.
Try it, see how you like it.
Methadone though is far worse than herion to withdarw from, I know at least 30 people, probably more that are on it, of these people I know TWO that have managed to come off it.
Over long term use it seems to have some pretty awful side effects like: teeth falling out, weight gain (in some cases VERY dramatic), skin having a grey pallor. Then comes the reliasation that you're still chained to a henious addiction & that if you dont get your dose you cant do a fucking thing! 'liquid chains' is an affectionate tem for methadone around these parts.
Where I come from it comes in liquid form ( junkies can still bang it) I know you can also get it it pill form.
So yeah by all means try it but be aware that it can be some evil shit.
 
oh so u dont even lose weight and its more addictiing? fawk that shite.. i wish i could get heroin in israel! thanks for the info tho :)
 
are youy sure about that ALERT??im not saying that is incorrect but the people i know that take it say it doesnt give them a high whatsoever, but then again they might JUST be saying that..of the 6-7 persons i know on METHADONE MAINTENANCE, all of them use HEROIN, some on a daily basis!!they tell me METHADONE does not kill cravings at all, and that they stay on it simply as a "crutch" so they wont feel the H withdrawals...
my buddies all go to the clinic in the morning and they get a little bottle of pink liquid that they drink..
from what i gather about METHADONE-
-some get a nice high from it
-others dont get any buzz from it
-some say u can function perfectly off of it
-others say after a while(year or so) u start getting some shitty side effects from it, and they say it will rob you of all ambition and it makes you into a zombie
-it does NOT eliminate cravings to take other OPIATES..
-the withdrawal from METHADONE is "supposedly" much much worse than HEROIN, although i find 5this hard to believe..the detox from H is fucking wicked, and if METH detox is so much worse, i cannot see the reason of getting on METH MAINTENANCE to begin with..
so from what i hear, getting on METHADONE doesnt make any sense to me UNLESS u are using it like my friends do, just to eliminate withdrawals from HEROIN..then again, they will need to get off if it at one point so..
my friends pay $40 a week to stay on the maintenance program, and insurance doesnt cover it..
i definitely think a FAQ should be created on METHADONE..i still have questions about it...
 
I'm very sure. I have heard alot of people say Methadone doesn't get you high, but of the 5-6 opiate addicts I hang out with, methadone does us QUITE well....
One Methadose 40 is a fucking WONDERFUL thing, god I love nodding :)
Oh, did I mention it lasts 8 hours?
