I am going to change this into a thread covering the general topic of fake pharmaceutical pills.
Let's not delve overly into speculation as to what is real and what's not (i.e. identifying pills, we can't help you with that, it's against the rules for a good reason.)
However, a caution is good. Everywhere. A lot of some, quite well done, X|A|N|A|X "bars" circulate, some containing more or less what they should, some considerably more than 2mg ALP, some less, some containing god knows what, RC benzos, or worse, but all made less than ideal conditions which may lead to doses being way off.
Hopefully the fentanyl-XANAX thing was a one-off, but it was a thing (East Coast mostly) and killed quite a few people.
Most of these come from fairly organized operations, not just random people pressing pills. Word 'round the campfire is that actual presses used for actual X|A|N|A|X pills were actually diverted, and some of these operations put more, or less, effort into composing the binders (so they don't crumble around the edges, etc., but regular pills can and will do that too if treated carelessly just a bunch of them in a bag the gets thrown around) were. So it's hard to tell. Being from an organized operation doesn't mean that they will be good quality or safe, though, but yes, almost all of these fake pharmaceuticals are coming from serious commercial operations in serious quantities.
ALP and DZP powder, among other things, are or were easy to source, although I think the main focus is now on the non-regulated ones, and the ALP is probably going to those fake-X|A|N|A|X people who are actually putting out legitimate ALP. Some of the DZP that used to circulate was questionable, too, it definitely did what it was supposed to do, but gave people headaches and nausea, atypical side effects, especially in people who were experienced with the legitimate pharmaceuticals and didn't experience them then. This is highly suggestive of some kind of impurity or byproduct of synthesis still hanging around.
As for opiates, the vast majority are going to be fentanyl, as it is the easiest to source, or an analog, which is even easier to source. This brings it's own concerns, especially with variable doses. Fentanyl is not something to be played with, even orally, where it is quite inefficient (= taking these pills sublingually will increase it's efficacy by a great deal, and should actually be avoided, as an oral dose that works could easily be a sublingual dose that kills. This goes even more so for I.V. use.) Main problem with fentanyl as I always say is that it's very good and depressing respiration and as a painkiller, but not as proportionally good at getting you high as either of those things. So taking fentanyl in any form until you get as high as you want to be from heroin (or whatever) can easily carry you into oh-shit-I'm-dead territory.
