I sought salvation once and only found god
What a poor substitute for the warm watery security of the womb
I miss that heart beat
I asked for so little and offered so much but my coin wasn’t accepted
My heart was broken and my faith destroyed falling in pieces with my shattered world
But still you did nothing
Wandering aimlessly I search for something anything I could have done to deserve such scorn
I tried to speak to you but you never answered
I rejected you
I hated you
But it’s to you I talk when I can’t sleep and need protection from the dark
