HAHAHA MOTHERFUCKERS!!!

Like a week ago I had a freak out about Kate Bush, had to hear her all the time. Then she goes on tour for the first time in 35 years.

LITERALLY TWO DAYS AGO I had a freak out about Mike Patton, pulled out that Dillinger Escape Plan shit he did, watched a bunch of videos of him being an asswipe to the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Youtube, and today, what do we get, but the first FNM album in 18 years and a US tour planned.


I'm fucking two for two, next time I get a freak out I'm going to put money on it.

 
Mike Patton’s New Duo, tētēma, to Release Debut In December

While he prepares for a new Faith No More album, frontman Mike Patton is also working on his latest musical adventure, that of duo tētēma. Alongisde Anthony Pateras, the band has announced details for the debut album, ‘Geocidal.’
‘Geocidal’ is set for release on Dec. 9 via Ipecac Recordings. According to Pateras, every element of the album was “recorded in a different city, and this gives the sound a displaced, almost vaporous intensity — there are no samples, no sequencing, everything is handcrafted and performed by a human.”
Pateras is an Australian composer and pianist who has released 18 records in this decade alone. “‘Geocidal’ started when I locked myself in a convent in rural France for 10 days to think about rhythm and sound,” he says in a statement. “I then went to Paris to record the drums and prepared the piano … we started to add vocals in January of this year when I visited Mike in San Francisco. We had the craziest 48 hours together … it became apparent to us that this music was going to be very, very special.”
While no hints have dropped as to what tētēma will sound like, here is a peek into the mind of Pateras:

I didn't think it was bad. Apparently Mike did not write it. Gotta love Motherfucker....

 
I like "Superhero." I heard one or two other tracks and they weren't memorable. I loved the previous four albums.
 
I was listening to Faster Disco non stop last week. There's something to be said for Chuck Mosely imo
 
^ Mosley was the essence, for sure. ;)
It's easy to imitate but Patton did it well and he had that creative and business-minded intelligence ( I hate saying that but it is the truth, he knew his audience ( both shit and virtue are reaped from that no doubt ; we all like to reap 'the soul' of the music but it is tied up in economic meshes once, a band is in the popular culture - this is why we have to stop deifying musicians ffs) so, with him as a frontman; he brought it into what it became, nevertheless, Moseley was the original, 'soul-voice' of their music; it wasn't the same; nor should it have been, you can't replace that.
