mk... so where i live (north L.A.) people consider being "faded", being really high, you know, take a fat rip, sit back and "oh shit im faded as fuck right now"

but i went to san diego recently and they think being faded is being drunk... i think faded fits being high more but idk

whats it like in your area?

I've heard people in Texas when so high they can't say anything they'll be like "man I'm zooted".

"we used to roll it up-- and go get zooted out
so we can knuckle up-- or we can shoot it out
we used to run our spots-- til we got booted out"

hahaha, i love the word zooted.

down here pretty much all those "oh dude i'm so fucked up right now"-words are used interchangeably.

one minute your boy might be "so fuckin' twisted," and then the next he's trying to tell a group of people just how faded he is.

personally, i just like to leave it at "damn, i'm kind of fucked up right now."

most people here use faded for opiate or benzos, weed too sometimes but not really, never heard it being used for being drunk though, mostly opiates tho

Oh man i love when people are like "hey what does (random slang for intoxicated) mean in your hood"

They all almost mean anything if they are refering to a feeling. Think high you can be high on weed, x, opiates, life. These are slangs for being intoxicated and nothing more. Then theres the slangs for the feeling the drug itself gets you, which i suppose can also be interchangable. Things like stoned for weed drunk for booze.

That being stated i feel faded is a generic term for "im on drugs." You can say "yo for spring break im going to stay faded on some 40s" or "man that blunts got me real faded." I think you get the picture.

Here we dont use faded, or at least not that ive heard. But since adult swim had that "tim and eric on spring break" thing and they used the "im going to stay faded on..." ive been bringing it back meaning drunk.

words we use in Kansas:

fucked (or fucked up)

shit faced

rolling face

uuhhhnnnn.... (my personal favorite)

twisted

exactly what i was goinna say, but I cant word things that well lol

I like the most descriptive terms. "Baked" is actually very close to the warm haze I get with weed. I heard a friend say "blunted in the bomb shelter" and I thought that was cool, though I'd associated opiates more with being all safe and cozy (as in a bomb shelter).

"Shitty" is my favorite term for being drunk. I love a good beer-induced chillaxation, but being nauseated, dizzy, and falling over yourself is being shitty in many ways.

The way I've heard faded has just been a general term for depressant use. It's similar to "Dude, I was so far gone" in that you're just not really there, you're kind of faded relative to the clarity of a sober person. Only, "so far gone" could also be confusion from sleep deprivation and stims or even psychedelic use.

i'm from england so our words are gonna be different, we use shit like, "fucking hell i'm chong'd" because of the immense chink-eye we get, we never call it high, i just don't think 'high' was ever fitting for weed, we use stoned often, that describes the feeling better i think.

All my friends and I use faded when we're high+drunk. That's really the only word i know of that describes the combo. I'm from the Inland Empire.

my boys down in Alabama say faded for just being fucked up in general, same with folded. I don't play with terms too much, I say "I'm fucked up" lol.

I agree. Pop a few OCs... different story.

IMO "high" and "stoned" are the best descriptions for weed in the US.

Reason why is simple.

If you're energetic and laughing with a mild psychedelic mindset then you're high.

If you're stuck to the couch with a body high then you're stoned.
