lyrica (pregabalin) is one of few drugs that undergoes negligible metabolism in the body and is removed by the kidneys....in that sense, i suppose it is possible to recycle it.

in 1885 the u.s. Manufacturer parke-davis sold cocaine in various forms, including cigarettes, powder, and even a cocaine mixture that could be injected directly into the user's veins with the included needle! the company promised that its cocaine products would "supply the place of food, make the coward brave, the silent eloquent and render the sufferer insensitive to pain."

ketamine gained popularity among us soldiers during the vietnam war because a single surgeon could administer it rather safely and not have to monitor the patient too carefully because effects such as respiratory depression were not extremely profound. However its use declined once many soldiers reported unpleasant psychological side-effects.

bayer 04 leverkusen are a german football team that play in the bundesliga and have been pretty succsessful .
Even reaching the european champions league final in 2002 losing to real madrid.
They were formed as part of the pharmaceutical giants bayer who have also given us asprin and heroin.
And to this day are still sponsored by bayer .

the ssri sertraline can cause intestinal bleeding and should not be taken in combination with ibuprofen, asprin or alcohol.

My gp failed to notify me of this one and it resulted in a rather nasty stomach bleed

Voting will be until Sunday Night. The winner will be crowned and titled shortly after :D

I seem to be the only one who voted for the fact on sertraline.

This is because I've been on it for years now and no one has ever told me that before. Makes me hate my psych. a bit more.:!

Ive been on Sertraline for around 5 weeks now i and i only just found this out.

Neither my GP nor my councillor/shrink obviously did'nt feel the need to inform me of this small irrelevant fact 8( (as i sit here drinking a can of beer)

^^^

To be fair its a rare reaction but you will find it on the patient information leaflet, I was drinking quite heavily at the time, but that said ceasing the Sertraline stopped the bleed and i carried on drinking for several more weeks with no issues or further bleeds.

I wouldn't let it worry you to much just look out for the obvious signs, Vomit that looks like it has coffee grounds in it and black stools.

I'm now on venlafaxine and its listed as a possible side effect for those as well

Closed,

Whipped Dreams is the winner and will get his title soon, Bob Loblaw is 2nd and will get a mention although no title. You can start submitting your facts for next month now if you wish :)
