This is a set of lyrics i wrote for my band to perform. If you want to comment, it would be most appreciated.
Your word inside my ear -
Sweet, and soft and right -
brings me to my knees
and turns the day to night.
In this sombre new beginning,
I struggle without light -
with your word in my ear,
I lose the will to fight...
*Chorus*
You scream your silent words at the fast approaching night,
staring right at me, through your eyes of tachylyte.
Pleading on my knees, you stand like stalagmites -
Breaking my defences, your word explode like lyddite...
With your blood beneath my skin
and ripping at my veins
I'm forced further in
to your wicked, wanton ways.
Falling to the mire,
Scattered, worn, and frayed,
with your blood beneath my skin
you watch me swing and sway...
*Chorus*
With your hands around my throat
You wake me in the night -
the darkness surrounds me -
you squeeze with all your might.
Your energy consumes me -
Selfish, greedy plight -
With your hands around my throat
to make you feel alright...

It is obvious to me that this poem is NOT directed towards ME (where, ME = mescaline), because I am NOT 'wicked.' However, you are my only HOPE (?) or not.
definition of tachylyte =
Greek, _tachys_ swift
Latin, _lyttae_ worm said to grow under dogs' tongues and and to cause them madness
Get your dog some carminative (L., _carminare_, to card, to cleanse) solution ASAP!

Um... right... George, what ever you're on, i hope that it treats you well. I'm glad i'm not the only one who doesn't unerstand what you're on about... :)
Thanks Ant and Plaz... When we get it recorded (assuming the rest of the band likes it), i'll let you know where you can find the MP3s... :)
Just as an aside to George, Tachylyte is a type of hard black granite.

Um... yes? I have seen that movie, although i fail to see what relevance it had to me, or the words in the opening post (appart from both my name and its name containing the word "Mist")...
And just one other thing, word generally do not have a root from greek and latin, usually it's one or the other. IN this case, the root is the greek root, because granite is an igneous rock formed when larva or magma cools very quickly and does not have time to form chrystals, and therefore it would make sense.
