Recently i purchased the extreme test kit, i can understand the marquis but i'm still a little lost about the definition of primary and secondary amines? not having done chemistry at school i'm a bit unsure of what the results actually mean. Can someone please put it down in layman terms for me without goin into detail to do my head in even worse? i have tested a few pills now with mixed results, some of the results indicating on the simons no colour change still felt like it was a good pill. even tho it turned black on maquis the test concluded the pill had no mdma in it. all the pills i'v tested have had no color change on the robadope test (have stayed the same colour it comes out of the bottle "salmon red") indicating it has no primary amine but they say if it changes colour to salmon red it has a primary amine....whats the go there?. basically what i want to know is what to look out for if i want a good loved up dancy pill? and what to look out for if a pill is goin to lay me on my ass?
cheers

Well well, I'll try my best.

Secondary amines: Meth and 4 letters substance (MDMA, MDEA, etc)

Primary amines: Amphetamine and 3 letters substances (MDA, PMA, MDE, etc.)

You basically want to avoid primary amines because they are more trippy
or dangerous. Well in fact it's up to you.

Happy testing!

Thanx heaps resin dude! thats makes it so mutch easier to understand. u da man! y couldnt they put that on the instructions. its up 2 me to say "know" to drugs

The test kits will give you an indication on what a substance may be, it is up to you to decide for yourself whether or not to take the substance. It is not up to the test kits to define what is 'good' or 'safe' or anything else.

MDE is the same as MDEA. Both will test up with Simons and is a secondary amine not a primary. Where did you get the '3 letter' rule from? Nowhere.

Simons will give a quite noticable reaction, are you sure you are using the test kits correctly? It should be sample + 1 drop of simons + 2 drops of buffer. Strange you can getting 'many' pills that do not react to simons yet it does to marquis.
Don't be too concerned with the robadope reaction. It is a bit of a tough one to pick, the solution is already tinged red, but when you get a sample that reacts the effects are quite noticable after a minute

My mistake for MDE/MDEA. But frankly, if you want to explain
easily to someone the difference between primary and secondary amine,
the 3/4 letters rule is the simplest way.

Something useful would be a list of primary/secondary amines substances.
