Based on my research, I have found that Buprenorphine is freely soluble in Acetone. I have 100% Acetone and 91% Isopropyl Alc. I can't seem to find any info on Naloxone's solubility in Acetone.

Is Naloxone soluble in Acetone? If so, could I wash the Suboxone in Acetone, filter the fluid, and evaporate it to get pure Buprenorphine? Would I be able to use Isopropyl Alc to aid me?

Second question: Is Oxazepam soluble in Acetone or Isopropyl Alcohol, and if so, how would I turn it into an injectable solution?

Thanks in advance.

wow, I thought there would be a lot of responses by the time I got back. I figured this would be an interesting topic for everyone.

This has been discussed before (1, 2, 3, 4) however;

Naloxone: Sol in chloroform. Practically insol in petr ether.
Naloxone HCl dihydrate: Sol cold water, hot water, alcohol. Practically insol in ether, chloroform.
Oxazepam: Sol in alcohol, chloroform, dioxane. Practically insol in water

Sources: The Merck Index, 13th ed. and a MSDS readily found through Google.

So I only need to mix the Bupe in Isopropyl Alc, filter, evaporate, and add hot water to it?
Is Naloxone or Naloxone HCl Dihydrate in Suboxone?

What about Clonazepam? I think I've read before that you can use Acetone to extract it, but I can't quite remember.

BTW, my post was about it being soluble in acetone, just for my defense.

Again, a quick search for the prescribing information yielded the answer; "Chemically, naloxone HCl dihydrate is 17-Allyl-4,5α-epoxy-3,14-dihydroxymorphinan-6-one hydrochloride dihydrate."

Addition to the solubilities.
Buprenorphine HCl: sparingly soluble in water, freely soluble in methanol, soluble in alcohol, and practically insoluble in cyclohexane.
Naloxone HCl dihydrate: practically insoluble in toluene.
Clonazepam: Soly in mg/ml at 25°: acetone 31; chloroform 15; methanol 8.6; ether 0.7; benzene 0.5; water <0.1

I'd guess naloxone is soluble (enough) in acetone if buprenorphine is but I can't find confirming information. On a side note, I don't think this topic (or spoon-feeding answers) qualifies as 'advanced discussion' so I'm going to stop.
