Extracting hCG from female urine

I've read that a pregnant human pisses out up to a million I.U. of human chorionic gonadotropin per day. That much hCG has a wholesale retail value of twenty to forty thousand dollars (purified of course).

I have no idea where to begin with this, as I haven't played with urine since early puberty*. So how does one extract hCG from the urine of a pregnant human? The idea is to end up with a crystalline precipitate that can then be complexed with cyanocobalamin (producing a beautiful red solid) to enhance I.M. bioavailability. I don't have anything even remotely resembling a clue as to how to arrive at the hCG extract though.

I would imagine were it realisic to extract it from urine it wouldn't have a value of $20-40,000 .

^That's precisely where it's extracted from. Pregnant piss is the source. I don't know the mass of an IU (one IU of hCG is defined as the dose required to bring about puberty in one infantile rat), but a million of them should be substantial. 5000 IU complexed with B-12 make a tooth-sized nugget, most of which is hCG (37 kDa per protein). I imagine that a million IU should fill the bottom of a small erlenmeyer.

Did you even do a search of the primary and patent literature? Typing in "human chorionic gonadotropin purification" into google scholar brought up numerous articles and patents on hCG purification and prep.

It's only 244 amino acids long... you could just clone it into something then extract it with a column and centrifugal filtration. The problem is sterilizing the solution with it in it though, obviously it's a protein so you can't introduce a lot of heat.

if you're looking at these kind of profits, would it be possible to get some sort of column chromatography equipment? i'm not into peptides myself but i can imagine something like HPLC or maybe something more fanciful coming in handy here.

or some other chromatographic technique, the whatsitcalled to seperate proteins by isoelectronic point? electrogel chromatography, i can't remember, maybe you can look up some online lectures on protein purification....

The cloning thing is cool but beyond what I can do right now. I'm not self-financed and it'd be hard to convince certain people to invest that much.

What would it be used for once its in its final form? I probably learned about it at some point but can't remember.

Here's one you'll have to take my word for because the published research is wrong. It's for targeted fat-burning. It is wickedly effective if done right. You lose about a pound of adipose a day, only from areas where fat is not supposed to be. The fat stays off afterwards if you follow the routine (strict at first, then very easy).

Roiders also use it to keep their nuts from shrinking during cycles.

Hmm, actually, after looking at some of the literature it appears to be pretty damn easy. Take a look at US patent # 3655874. The procedure seems pretty damn easy and doesn't look like it requires an really crazy equipment. Also you can probably do a citation search with it and see if you can track down any newer journals or patents that cite it

This is very strange. Not only am I refusing food but I'm also refusing benzos and amps. The refusal of amps doesn't surprise me but the refusal of benzos does. I am physically dependent on alprazolam but it's now been nearly 4 half-lives since I've taken one. Normally two half-lives of abstinence precipitates a crisis of anxiety in me.

the wiki article gives a high estimate of 117 IU/ml in late pregnancy, meaning a pregnant woman has to pee 8.5 liters a day to give 1 million.
i know they pee like horses, but over 2 gallons a day?
is that feasible?

^ hCG levels are higher in mid-term, around weeks 10-12. A value of 300,000 IU/l is within the (high) normal range. With a diuresis of 3.3 litres per day, which is entirely possible, you've got your million.

However, 1 million IU/day is way above the average, even at the time when hCG levels peak.

Body builders use the stuff on cycle to stop testicular atrophy and maintain natural testosterone (hypothalamic pituitary gonadal axis shuts down test production when external test is injected, think feedback loop....which leads to shrunken nuts!)

Not sure of legit uses but pretty sure there is big black market for the above!

by the time ill be getting somebody pregnant, i should be able to do this

imagine paying for a child's college with hormones they forced their mother to produce prebirth
but im sure you can't just walk into a pharmaceutical company and give them a vial of hormones, especially if you use a patented method to extract them
