Extended Release Methylphenidate - insufflation possibilities?

i just got ahold of one 20 mg. tablet of generic methylphenidate (ritalin), extended release (geneva pharmaceuticals... imprint says GG 780).
when crushed up, it forms a powder, not like the gum created by crushing up Concerta. am I to understand that this means I can snort it and it will work?
 
I've had generic ritalin SR 20mg's, different mfg but they worked fine. Just crush and enjoy.
