Anyone have any expierence with codeine from other countries, called "perduretas codeina". I know it's 50mg of codeine with no other crap in there. But I believe they are extended release due to experience and due to it saying "por comprimido retardado" on there?
What I want to know is if crushing these guys will destroy the time release mechanism or is it more complex than that, like some sort of wax binder mechanism that slows down the break down of the codeine in you?
On the side, they look wild, they are a little smaller than a dime, a little thicker and 3 splotches of green, white and red all over them. Each looks different, it's like pill art!

FYI for those who would like to know.
Yeah, you can crush these and it breaks the time release mechanism and get the full dose immediately.
Yeah yeah, I know, get some real opiates like hydro, or oxy - well I would except my source is taking a break.....so had to go to my backup source.

Yeah, I have these guys -- they're funky-looking.
I have to say, I had no idea they were time-release, odd since I've taken them on several occasions, but there it is -- "comprimido retardado."
Strangely, my usual 300mg dose didn't seem any weaker than normal with these. But they did seem to last abnormally long... I wondered why I felt high for most of the next day. :)
Perhaps you should try just leaving in the time-release, DrMiller, and see how it is... I'd love a second opinion.

Perhaps a partial explanation for this is the CYP2D6 inhibition often argued about. Maybe the advice to "take all your codeine at once" is ill-placed... the delayed-release certainly seemed to make it better overall for me.
