Expires hydrocodone

I recently came across a bottle of hydrocodone that expires 5 years ago. Now I know companies have to put an expiration date on it so I'm wondering if it's actually expired. And if it is does that just mean it's less potent or could it be dangerous to take?
 
Hey Alex, feelin GREAT so I caught up with ya ') lol
Rush had some 5 or 6 year old Liquid Hydro that had been prescribed for his daughters cough and it didn't lose ANY potency!!! Rush doubts your Hydro has lost any and he doesn't believe it can become toxic or harmful but he's sure you can find a thread somewhere on here that will address your question. R~
 
I heard that the syrup doesn't expire I think pills are differenr but thanks I'll find a thread
 
Found this for ya, Alex......

The expiration dates are on meds b/c they can't guarantee the levels in them after a year. However, I have takenHydro years after they expired and still got good results, if not better!
 
Wholly Shheeeite, they should "complement" each other very well. Are y'all just goin 4 da HIGH tonight or tryin 2 sleep? My "Cocktail" is kickin and I'ma floatin on a marshmellowy cloud ') Nuttin goin on tomorrow so I'll ride this baby out til Dawn ') lol
 
Hahahaha I'm trying to sleep cus I took so much goddamn focalin earlier and I'm still wired! Whatever at least I feel really good rn
 
I just snorted a tiny bit and then It came up in my mouth with phlegm. And then I didn't feel much so I parachuted a bunch and that was at 6:30
 
It was terrible! It was like what chemicals would taste like. Anyways I think I'm too congested to be able to snort and that was my first time trying it so I'll just stick to parachuting haha
