Expired Hydroxyzine?

So I heard Hydroxyzine is good for potentiating opiates and this was good news to me since I had an old prescription. I have 10mg pills but they expired in 2006. Some of the pills broke down into powder in the bottle but others are still fine. Would these pills still be safe to take? And if so how much would I need to take and when to potentiate the oxy? I usually take about 60mg of oxy at a time. Thanks.

Its still safe. If a medication undergoes prolonged exposure to light, air and moisture, the active ingredient in the product reacts, POSSIBLY rendering a change in the drug's potency.

Wow, 10mg Hydroxyzine tablets/capsules, aren't those only prescribed for like small animals. J/K. I'd recommend that you take 50mg and see how that works out for you.

Appreciate the response. So it should be safe to take? And 50mg would be good to help potentiate the oxi?

I'm pretty sure a 30 years old pack of pills could still be good if it was kept in good conditions, ie in a dark, dry and fresh place.
Mmmh yeah, 30 years old, like the methaqualone pills I just discovered in this sort of place.

No, just kidding, that would be a miracle =D
