Experts Condemn New Craze for 'Snorting' Alcohol

It sounds like a boring invention.. One hour per shot? jESUS.. Sounds like a rip off to me. And the fucking thing is so big and heavy. Who in the fuck would carry that around with them??!! Although, it would be a nice investment for a bar I guess.

^^^After a long night sitting at the bar..."Gimme another hit!" "You've sniffed enough buddy why don't you go home."

I would guess that it would be quite easy to fuck with the machine to get really high (and/or die), and remember that you need much less alcohol to get drunk if you inhale it like this. So a shot gradually over an hour might actually be the equivalent of several shots that you would drink in the same period.

and most blulighters here probably spend 5000 on alcohol a year,

Hee hee, I turned 28 this year, and in my time I've spent less than $50 on alcohol in my life. Most of it was either for wine for my girlfriend (I don't drink wine myself) or everclear for extractions and/or use as a solvent.

....At least they aren't plugging it. :-D

I actually agree with the doctors who say this method is vastly more dangerous. One of the methods of killing of nerves to control chronic pain is direct alcohol injection into the nerve. I don't know that the effects on the brain would be worse, I expect the worst damage would be in the tissues of the lung and surrounding it - but the nerve treatments do have a tendency to spread and cause wider damage than what was intended. I really don't see that AWOL is functionally that much different. Maybe just a little more diffuse.

Not that drinking alcohol doesn't cause damage to the nerves on it's own. If you don't believe that, just listen to the president speak for awhile...
