Hey everyone just wanted to get your take on this. I have a long past of opiate use and abuse typical of many who after taking that first pill and are sent on a lifelong pursuit of that next high. I have gotten on and off the opiate train more times than I can count swearing each time will be my last but always seem to fall prey to the idea of “just a couple pills” which as we know turns into a full on bender that only stops when my supply runs out. At this point, my body is so acclimated to opiates that almost all it takes is one freaking pill, and I WILL go through some sort of withdrawal lasting about 5 days.

In the past I’ve used loperamide better known as immodium to ward off withdrawals but actually got addicted to that. I still don’t know how that happened but in w ay it is my theory that immodium only prolongs withdrawal or maybe I just didn’t do it right. I CT off of about 60 pills and it was a pretty rough withdrawal. Since then I have of course gotten back on the opiate train again and am facing withdrawal yet again perhaps tomorrow or very soon when my supply goes dry. My question is ,I am thinking to use Imodium again only at close to recommended amounts say 16 mg which is max recommended amount up to 24 mg at the most. I can remember that 12 of them actually did help quite a bit.

Thing is, because I used to be addicted to loperamide itself, as any experienced user knows it is easy to precipitate worse withdrawal when you mess with something you have been addicted to in the past. Does anyone think it would be wise for me to use lope in small amounts to counteract withdrawal (esp. because I have to help family member paint tomorrow and don’t want to be dragging) or who you thinks it’s just too risky for me to use lope again even if I am extremely careful… I’m just so afraid I will set my withdrawal off worse and end up in worst shape than if I had just went without the lope.
