Experience of Cyclizine 50mg after Amphetamines? Got Clonazepam in the mix too

Hi all,

1st off, if this has been queried before many apologies - I've searched here and google and am only getting Opiates + Cyclizine. Secondly, if this is the wrong forum or I ask something I shouldn't then really sorry! I have read the guidelines so fingers crossed.

I am a daily abuser of speed/base - NOT meth, that's very rare here in UK and never fancied it - ROA oral, Dosage unknown due to unknown purity, but my tolerance is probably sky high so it's a lot.
Does anyone have experience of using Cyclizine 50mg tablets (anti-emetic drug) as a sleep aid on a speed comedown? And does anyone know if it is relatively safe to do so both soley after speed use and alongside 0.5mg Clonazepam if I have been a bit greedy with the speed?
I do have a prescription for Zopiclone - which works great but I only take when desperate as I don't want to risk dependency/tolerance and the taste is awful. I am prescribed Clonazepam too, but at a high enough dose to make me sleep I would be through my script in a week and when used like that I find any speed done the following 2 days is ineffective - and of course there's the tolerance/dependence risk.
I have used promethazine as a sleep aid after speed and it felt as though my body was made of lead, but my mind wide awake all night.
Codeine makes me sick so terrified to try opiates for sleep.
That's why I ask about the Cyclizine, used for nausea last night and found it helped me sleep great too - just wondered if I'm putting myself in grave danger or not.
Also if it makes a difference to anything I'm on Lithium Carbonate (Priadel) 600mg daily - I know the Lithium should reduce effect of speed but doesn't appear to.

A diconal, cyclone [phy tabs with cyclizine tabs] & fully scripted dexamfetamine user here.

It is effective at lower doses of speed but the xerostomia is fucked right up. Have plenty of cold non-alcoholic fluids to hand. (or ice cubes to suck on)

As a former mixed amphetamine salt user, I can suggest the following:
-Wait until you feel the comedown before you take anything
-When the comedown starts, take a double-ish dose of clonazepam. (Don't do anything too crazy, remember your own safety here, seeing as a night's missed sleep is much better than two days of wandering around town/work/friends/family completely blacked out)
-Once you start to feel the clonazepam starting to take somewhat of an effect (remember, the effect will be diminished due to the stimulant in you, so do not take this as a sign to take MORE clonazepam) dose your cyclizine.
-Turn on a comforting movie, music, or whatever it is that makes you feel in a 'safe and comfortable place'
-Relax as much as you can. Do not focus on sleeping, focus on just being mellow. The sleep will come. IMHO 'focusing' on sleeping makes it 10x harder to actually sleep, versus, say, just daydreaming about something that makes you feel happy, and just letting yourself drift off.

Keep hydrated, eat a light meal perhaps if you've not eaten in a while. Don't be afraid to throw a multivitamin, particularly magnesium/potassium into the mix, after said light meal. Don't focus on sleep. Focus on... what helps you not focus.

Thanks. I am always wary with the clonazepam as in the past it's left me more lethargic & unmotivated than usual the next day - but I think that's cos I took way too much for my tolerance. I will try a lower amount. I also permanently have a bottle of water in my hand whatever I'm on lol.

I've never tried cyclizine for sleeping, but it is a centrally acting antihistamine (as well as being an antiemetic) so in theory at least it should be sedating like the other central antihistamines (the 1st generation ones like promethazine, diphenhydramine etc). Have you tried Nytol (diphenhydramine)? It's a shame promethazine didn't suit you; diphen may not either if that is the case, not sure about cyclizine as it is a little bit different to other sedating antihistamines..

Clonazepam is pretty long lasting as benzos go so you may find it does give a hang over the next day, but trying a lower dose sounds like a good plan it's more anxiolytic than hypnotic however, so it may not be the best benzo for the job.. plus as you say you don't want to burn through your script, and you def don't want to start needing to take huge doses of benzos every night..

Good luck! Insomnia is horrible I've got some friends who take a lot of speed so I'll ask if they have any tips.

Thanx Effie - I try not 2 take 2 late in the day, I do try & have some speed free days 2, but the nature of addiction & uncontrollable circumstance mean this doesn't always happen.
My friend swears by nytol - she's also a speed freak, but I always thought it had promethazine in it?
Having sleep issues anyway speeding, comedown or 6 months clean! I'm scripted zopiclone - but the god awful taste it leaves just really, really put's me off
Tell truth, half the reason I started caning the speed was 2 give me a bit of oomph to get through work with after nights of no sleep - just my addictive nature decided she'd like that on my days off 2! Silly moo.
But yeah, any tips off ur mates be much appreciated effie xx

Nytol is diphenhydramine hydrochloride 25mg or 50mg ("One-a-Night").

Thanks - I was gettin mixed up with sominex. I'll grab some nytol & see if I fair any better than with promethazine when my attempt at being a good girl goes tits up!
