Exercise and bodybuilding thread V2. Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

You all sound so healthy and into exercise - I do fuck all. Started playing basketball awhile back, but these things always start with good intentions and fall away by the wayside. I find time to do shit a struggle too.

Maybe I should start pumping iron or something like some of the suggestions above - eat raw eggs and full chickens and drink protein shakes.
Don't let me for one give you the wrong impression. I'm totally not into any of that over-fitness malarkey! As long as I can make it though the working day and safely back home to bed, that's all that matters to me. I have no desire to win the Your Funeral Magazine award for "best-preserved corpse in the cemetery". I'm not going to get my body into a state of greater fitness than necessary which will then require additional effort to maintain. For instance, I don't go out running when I could simply set off a few minutes earlier, or even just send a text message. I don't even pick heavy stuff up and move it about, if there's something that could be done to it in situ. And I would certainly never pay for exercise when, as mentioned previously, I probably am already paying not to have to expend any energy of my own somewhere else; and could always just save my money and spend the Joules instead.

They are very exercise and pain related.

They have an effect on it, yes. But I was trying to make a case of examples which weren't specifically exercise or pain posts, which would go in a healthy living thread. For example, I'm using a sleep tracking android app which connects to my smartwatch, which is giving quite interesting results (especially after a messy night) which I could discuss there (the sleep hygiene thread was archived, I checked).

I was actually trying to back up Evey by supporting her suggestion we need three threads. Supporting Evey was a cause I thought you might get behind, but seemingly trying to find fault in everything I say is more important.

lol, pea derivative. I'm sure that will work well. Do peas even have protein?

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=pea+protein+

I'm running 40km a week on a mostly vegan diet and am still gaining weight and running PBs, so I would assume I'm not having a hard time building muscle mass.

My diet is a personal choice from an ethical standpoint (we should all be less reliant on meat and dairy farming), it's actually the opposite of what would be recommended in my condition (a low residue diet) and actually can make my life a bit more difficult at times.

^^this is another discussion that might go well in a healthy living thread rather than a pain or exercise thread

I read 'pea derivative' as 'PhenylEthylAmine derivative'.

A true Junkie. =D

Now there's a protein substitute we could all get behind.

You will need to stop the round the clock stim binging first I think mate. If not your not eating or resting enough.

Next week I'm going to get back to it. Hit a mental block a week ago along with flu couldn't train. I think it's a sign I need a blow out to set me back to wanting to train.

Thanks for all the advice.

Also; thank you Julie for correcting my fuck-up!

Are you taking the mick? It hasn't been sorted hasn't it. You just destroyed MY thread that I had on the Index well over a year n made your own version

I ALREADY had a thread called The Healthy Living Thread to discuss all of this; diet, exercise etc. That hasn't been fixed you've just taken my thread completely. Yeah it's really sorted.

I know you're a moderator, Sprout, n most of the time you do a great job but it isn't about stomping over threads ppl have put the effort into n taking credit EADD is meant to be a team effort.

I'm actually upset about this n you don't seem to care at all.

Out.

Evey

IT WAS A FUCKING ACCIDENT. LEARN TO FORGIVE PEOPLE WHO ACCIDENTALLY MAKE MISTAKES. :D

Now, let's either make a new healthy living thread (which I will discuss stuff in with you, since I am interested in the subject), or spend a few minutes going through the pain thread, starting at post #113, or page 5 if you use standard page lengths, and write down the post numbers (the number like #XX at the top right tof each post) of some useful posts from that thread and send them to Julie in a PM, she very kindly agreed to spend more of her free time merging them into a new thread (with the same name and link the index no doubt) for you.

Edit: I already started the process by finding the first one. Mods, can you move post #113 from this thread to a new thread called EADD - The Healthy Living Thread please? www.bluelight.org/vb/threads/719623...t-amp-Cock?p=12621072&viewfull=1#post12621072 There may also be more posts to follow. Can you also add the link to the index. Thanks! Big love, J <3

If you'd just pop over here before making a decision, it would be appreciated.

Have you read Ronnie O'Sullivan's book? It's about his desire for running n how it helped him overcoming certain addictions.

Yep, I noticed a lot of similarities between him and myself actually (snooker skills not being one of them). That reminds me, need to bump the snooker thread with the UK Champs on at the mo.
