Exercise 4 Health, Mental Health, and Addiction vs. The Endorphin Factory

I just got home a little while ago from walking. Did 3 1/2 miles with a friend.. it is a bit chilly today but overall still good walking weather. I feel so much better after that walk and we had a good discussion as well.

That's good news NSA! Looks like lady luck is smiling upon you.

Felt funky today (technically yesterday) and only ran 1.5 miles. First day I had the puppy running again since he started limping, so going easy was probably the smart thing to do anyways.

After I wake up after I get off work today I plan on a 3.5 mile run or possibly I'll take the puppy to the doggie park for an off-leash run (depending on the weather and what time I wake up at).

I went to the gym yesterday during lunch time for half an hour cardio. Going today after work to do the nike app training then possibly a lil cardio. Planning to go to spin class on wed maybe or gym then hot yoga thursday and gym again fri.

Are you feeling better? I remember you were concerned about not getting a cold, I guess..

One thing for sure... Lyrica may help with my oxy taper, but it sucks for motivating me re: exercise. I feel "high" today, although it is almost 18 hours since I took it. I feel loopy, and a bit off kilter. I read somewhere that Lyrica affects the same part of the brain as alcohol... that makes sense, considering the side effects I am experiencing. I need to stop the Lyrica, save it for my jump off oxy's when I complete my taper, and remember that my plans to exercise are negated by Lyrica.

I would seriously consider doing this. It would not be good to acquire a physical dependence on the Lyrica as I have read some threads were people were not comfortable getting off them at all. If I was detoxing I would use gabapentin and titrate up three days before the final jump and taper off right around two weeks later.

Im pretty busy today, but going to make time to lift and jog. I walked, ran, lifted legs yesterday.. then hot tubbed it.

I have given my shoulder a nice rest after the accident and it feels pretty good today w/o even any anti inflammatories.

So im going to role chest, tries, and biceps today.

Hit the gym last night and ran 3.5 miles today. Did not stop once to walk during today's run, other than standard warm up and cool down.

I mowed my lawn... since I have a nice sized yard, including the front, side, and back it took about 50 minutes. Good exercise today, after all. And, I got finished about 20 minutes before the light rain sprinkles began.

last time I exercised was last Thursday for Hot Yoga. I am resting for a full since I am sick.

Maya: I hope you feel better soon. I went to a meetup today that was comprised of a short talk by a healthcare professional - he talked about Vitamin D, and then a walk. We walked 1.2 miles, and then I stayed afterward, and walked an additional 2 laps. Total of 3.6 miles.

23 hours of non stop steady hard packing, cleaning, and moving.. up and down stairs in the last 30 hours.

Im fucking worked and still have at least two hours to go. Kinda looking forward to sitting on my ass for a few hours.

I just got home from the best walk ever... it is raining still, cloudy, misty, and so I walked to the library to pick up a book that I requested months ago.
I walked back home near a favorite park with a walking loop, and walked around that and then came home. Turned out, I walked for over an hour. It was really weird, swear to God I thought I was hallucinating, but I found dimes on my walk... at first, I thought I saw the foil from gum wrappers, but I saw a dime (the money), picked it up , walked a few more steps, found another dime, and then about 5 minutes later, found another one. Crazy... I don't know if somebody lost them or whatever.

Yoga tonight. Not hot yoga though and I am also planning to go back fully to my exercise routine on the weekend. I am almost fully recovered

Hitting the gym 3 days per week and running almost everyday. Feel like I've been trying to come down with a bug (my throat is definitely sore) for 2 days now. Body fatigue is confusing because I don't know if it's due to pushing too hard or due to a real virus. Well I won't hit the gym again until Monday and I'll probably not run Sunday; hopefully that will be enough rest for me. It is truly hard to take rest days because of the dramatic difference exercise makes for my mindset.

Maintaining my swimming- 50 minutes everyday. The warmed water makes me so relaxed.

Back to the gym today! Struggle at first but felt amazing! Back on monday and possibly workin out until friday.
