2nd day of running!

Now that the days are longer and not as cold, I'm going to start running outside again :)

Put Insanity program on hold for a week while I deal with some health issues.

So instead I ran, walked, and scrambled around at one of my favorite regional parks. It always feels amazing to work out outside.

I need a change of environment to go outside. I hate where I live. My old house had a screened in patio n a pool. Even during the winter I was outside. I gotta find somewhere to go.

Gotta get the blood pumping in my frozen heart again. Lol.

woke up to my neck pain flaring, then ups arrived with my new trainers. :)

i popped a few motrin, i'm drinking some coffee (caffeine synergizes well with ibuprofen in my case)trying to loosen up a bit, then after work I'll hit the redwoods for a run in my comfy light new balance trainers.

I've been practicing stretching my body and allowing it to remain contorting for periods of time, then releasing slowly as I breathe deeply.

It's become a practice of my daily life and is something I've come to truly feel gratitude for it!

^^Ahhh, free form yoga practice. Beautiful. It is a part of my daily life too. I think of it as Living Yoga, especially when I practice walking meditation or eating meditation.

The breath is always there. I find that when I experience great stress or fear, I am usually forgeting about my breath, or worse, not breathing at all.

rest night tonight but bang again tomorrow! Me and my gym partner have been doing 15 min Nike training sessions and man they are tough lol. The good thing about it is that you get trained in areas where you are weakest and then practices your body so even if you dont do it for a long time you get kicked in the butt.

got stuck at the shop getting some shit done to the truck.. but as I got outa the shower today i cracked a smile as the working out is starting to show pretty good. I dont know if I will ever be atlas but im starting to shape up alright.. way more to go.. but shit im pretty happy.. also it back down to 0F but running outside is coming soon

pushups, drop-sets with arm circles and basic arm lateral raises and overhead flexing (10lbs arm circles to failure - 5lbs slow big circles to failure - 3lbs...2lbs...1lbs...ok my arms are cooked!...) , crunches

trying to boost my upper body posture especially shoulders.

Yesterday after work I went up into the hills and ran 5K, then went home and did a short yoga set.
Meditated for 20 min. Really nice day overall.

Today I will walk around the lake (3.5 miles) and continue enjoying the sunshine.

Great job guys! Unfortunately I have to wait for a few days because I just got new tats :D. I will blast it up in the gym again when i resume my exercises.

Maya, your gym made my jaw drop. Mine (24 Hour Filthness as we like to call it) is convenient and I can afford it but it is really rather disgusting.

I know my jaw dropped too when we had an open house two weeks ago. I never expected the gym to be this modernized and big. I was happy with the old and smaller gym and this is definitely a big step up. The only thing missing is a spa lol.

Cycling off of creatine and beta-alanine for a couple of weeks, hopefully it won't mess with my head or body too much. I've also reconsidered my goals and decided NOT to cut down to a really low bodyfat percentage in time for the summer. I'm going to get my bodyfat percentage calculated over the weekend and then I'm going to try and gain 1lb per month while holding the bodyfat percentage constant. So I'd like to look 8 months forward and be 8lbs heavier with the same bodyfat percentage.
