^I think it's 135m by 185m it's grass. Used to use a track oval but can't anymore.

There's a track oval at the park in the back close to where I live. I would usually do my running there but the weather has just been terrible so I've just been goin to the gym. I'd love to run there in a few months or so

Today is cardio day plus other exercises depends on how I feel

Not my best workout but I pushed myself to workout and still felt great with cardio and other exercises. I have a tat appointment tomorrow so I can't workout tomorrow and do light exercises for the next days to let the tat fully heal

Does a brisk walk around oval for about an hour do anything? I'll try find the measurements

Yes it does even just normal walking does but for me I choose to run I choose sweating because I really feel so good after more energized and relaxed

worked out my core yesterday with a long hard skins session, suppose there was a nice cardio workout in there as well. My right quad and knee has been fucking with me.. its kinda strange and I dont think it is the result of exercise..

but im going to go in and try and lift but no legs or running..

Went out dancing last night, totally sober. Around 4 hours of cardio! It's a beautiful day outside so I am heading out on a hike in the redwoods.

I found a free cardio session from Insanity on vimeo so I am going to give it a test run today before I consider buying the entire system. I've heard great things about it, and I am really curious whether or not I'll dig it. The only instructor-based workouts I've ever done are yoga classes. And I have never followed a strict diet. I just eat healthfully and have for many years. The diet part may be more difficult for me than doing the workouts...

^ nice! I have been hearing about the insanity workout from my friends but never really bothered looking into it. Please let me know how it works out for you so I can get more into it and try it out as well.

Full body workout today except for cardio

Who mentioned INSANITY???? Thats about the best workout on the planet. Blasted the fat off me. I went from size 11 to size 8 (US size 4). The euthoria you get after is amazing. I have a pic of me holding insanity DVD here http://www.addictiontribe.com/evelievibe when I was sort of fit.....

http:// www.beachbody.com to find out more on INSANITY Shaun T is fit too.

You do plyometrics, lots of different cardio strength moves. Music is ace. The whole thing is ace. Best work out programmme in existance!!!!!

^I will get back to the gym tomorrow I just had an appointment after work so I couldnt go. I will blast it up tomorrow you'll see.

I've been working out in the gym quite a lot recently, and it's been helping. Thanks to NSA for this wonderful thread.

Hey Thanks Captain=D. I love it when we hit upon something that makes a true positive difference in our lives. Is it helping with the PTSD?

Already reworked my approach to basically fit some of the ideas you presented Red. Flipped my pyramids over and am starting after quick warm up with the higher weight lower reps first and working the opposite way I was. All the places I work strong muscles where I never did 5x5 as part of my cycle I have or am adding in 3x6 and then some of these places I used to just do sets of twelve I'm dropping the weight and adding reps up to 18-20 again three sets. So I guess I will be doing a rotating cycle of 5x5, to reverse pyramid from 2-12, 2x6, with the inclusion of close grip, high reps flys (incline, decline, strait)

Also tried the lifts you gave me for lower chest.. LOL.. i had a tough time doing them.. the skins session I had must have some how worked that area pretty good As i was sore.

I have been a little bumming on legs. quad tightened up a week or so ago and some pain and inflammation went down my muscle and worked it way around the knee cap. What weirded me out about it was that it felt just like I got infected.. you know how it kinda slowly tightens up and then stays sore for a grip.. well thats exactly what it was like.. but today that shit seems to be a distant memory.

Oh and I figured out that I have had my standard bench grip one finger over to morrow on each side.. when I did this minor adjustment I added 20-40 pounds immediately (I kinda switched in the middle of a set.. by the time i was confident it was what was supposed to be the 2 rep push, with the new grip I easily did it eight times. so I guess I may not be as week in the chest as I thought. .. I dislocated my shoulder a way back in the day playing hockey and as those things never heal its fucked with me in situations ever since.. because of this I had a really weird angle of my arm for allot of chest exercises.. This in turn caused my shoulder to do more of the lifting.. spread it out one finger on each side and the difference was kinda night and day.

Also I dont know what the deal is but I,m really getting stronger in leaps and bounds.. I dont think I have ever climbed this quick before..

Now I need to figure out a couple of more tricep exercises.. get a real strong back routine going.. add in some more leg lifts that I tend to skip.. and whenever it warms up start trail running outside.

So anyway just wanted to take stock of where I am.. sorry for the ramble..

I ran into a friend who I went to middle and highschool with at a cafe yesterday. He played Division 1 soccer and then went on to play as a pro for the Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer. I was surprised to run into him in Oakland since I assumed he was in Chicago, but as soon as I hugged him hello, I saw he was wearing a huge boot from the bottom of his quad to his ankle. He tore his ACL while training a few weeks ago.

Seeing that was a sobering (that really is the best word to use!) reminder that while we want to continue to push and challenge ourselves, we have to always pay attention to the signals our bodies are sending us. He didn't rupture his ACL--it tore over time after too many consequetive days of pushing it too hard.

Be careful sculping those beautiful bodies, everyone.
