Excessive 2CB + amphetamine + NO2 + inactivity = partial necrosis?

Hi,

I'm 22, 5'10" and weigh 12 stone. I drink often, I smoke and use mostly amphetamine/MDMA/LSD at weekends. I don't exercise much. I used to take amphetamine daily for about 4 years, I stopped this about 4 years ago. I've not had any previous health problems except about 5 years ago when combining anti-phycotics with amphetamine and a large amount of MDMA which caused a 'mini-stroke' (I do not believe that this actually was a mini stroke since they are more related to clotting which MDMA does not affect as far as I know.) I made a full recovery from this in a few days.

Last weekend I tried 2CB for the first time. I wanted to snort it opposed to eating it since it was a Sunday and I had work in the morning. I couldn't find any dosage info for snorting it so I had roughly 40mg(+/- 5mg). I've still not found any info on nasal dosage info but I think that the dose might have been a bit excessive.

I had a few lines of speed earlier in the day which I was still feeling a bit. I spent most of the trip in bed with my girlfriend. An hour or two of this was spent just lying down and listening to music. From what I understand stimulants and inactivity can worsen vasoconstriction. I had 3 8g nitrous oxide balloons throughout the trip. I didn't notice any major muscle tension except in my feet (which I don't normally get.) It felt like I was pressing my toes against the duvet hard - in hindsight they might have just been numb.

I had a great night but the next day I noticed that my toes were numb and tingly. Mainly the two toes next to my big toe on both feet. They seem to be most numb when I take my foot of the ground when walking or when I put pressure on the top part of my foot (where you press the pedal when driving.) I've also noticed that I can't point my feet, those two toes are fully above my big toe. If I flick my toes then they tingle. I haven't noticed any discoloration and none of my toes have fallen off yet.

I've also noticed a few 'zaps' (that thing where your body jerks slightly and it sounds like a speaker has been plugged in / un-plugged in your head, apparently they are quite common.) I've not had these in years (I used to get them after lots of MDMA.) These were slightly different, they were more like a za-za-za-za-za-ZAP! I don't think that I used to get them in clusters like this.

It doesn't seem to have gotten any better over the last week. I'll probably go to the doctor this week (not sure what to tell them.)

Does anyone have any advice? Will this gradually get better or have I killed my toes?

Thanks,

Joe

It's probably not permanent damage, but none of us can tell you for sure-- we're not health care professionals, we're certainly not your health care professional-- so take all advice with a grain of salt.

Some things to avoid until you get better:
-Cigarettes
-Stimulants (including caffeine)
-Other Drugs
-Salty foods

Some things that might help:
-A dose of aspirin
-Light exercise
-Plenty of water

Hope you start feeling better soon! <3 Keep us updated. :)

Thanks for the reply! I'll definitely go to the doctor's soon. I've not really been looking after my self over the last week so I'll give that a try. I'll buy some asprin today as well, I've also read that arganine can help with circulation and I think that I actually have some somewhere so I'll dig it out.

Yes parasthesia, this normally goes away quite fast but there are situations where this can hang around for longer such as excessive nitrous use. Hypoxia and I think also forms of neuronal depletion (vitamin B12 is a better known example but I doubt it is the only thing!) can fuck with you causing thing like light-headedness and numbing or tingling feelings.

The brain-zaps are 'supposed to be' effects from your brain being unable to cope with imbalance in neurotransmitter levels and nutrition. Anti-depressants (or discontinuation thereof) and excessive MDMA use are major causes of brain-zaps but it can also happen on a mushroom experience for instance.

Mind you I have not given you a validated medical opinion on your personal physical state and going to see a doctor is definitely a good idea. Some people go there for absolute nonsense, what would be much bigger nonsense is if you would not consider your effects important enough to seek help if nothing changes after a good period.
Meanwhile take Roger&His advice and take good care of yourself. Eat well, resupply your body with the things you need and avoid things that could worsen it.
You obviously made a significant impact on your health and now it is time to heal, by means of passive care and if not: active.

Thanks for all the help. I don't think that it was down to the nitrous but it probably didn't help either! I'll try to detox this week and see if that helps. I'll also book a doctor's appointment tomorrow.

One thing that I was wondering though is what causes this vasoconstrictive effect? I've read that DOX compounds tend to cause it more than 2CX compounds. Within the 2C class is it the halogen on the ring that decides the vasoconstrictivness of the compound? If so then would 2CF and then 2CC be the most damaging or would it be 2CI and then 2CB or doesn't it work that way? Also how does 2CE compare to the halogenated ones?

I think that I could probably get hold of 2CI or 2CE so if one of them is safer then I'd prefer that. I wouldn't mind doing 2CB again when I'm better but I just don't want it to be my feet and legs next time. (I don't want to end up looking like Jimmy out of south park.)

Thanks,

Joe

UPDATE:

I've not done speed since Sunday and have been smoking and drinking a bit less. My toes are no longer numb and I can almost point my right foot. My left still doesn't bend correctly. I went to the doctors today. Apparently they knew that I did drugs(?!) I can only guess that this got mentioned when I had my 'mini-stroke.'

I told her that I did speed on the occasional weekend and I also told her that it has a vascoconstrictive effect (I didn't mention the 2CB) she didn't think that this was the cause. Apparently drinking can lead to numb toes and circulatory problems (I drink about 5 to 8 pints of 5% lager daily and and spirits at the weekends.) It seems like a bit of a coincidence that it happened just after the 2CB. One thing that I forgot to mention is that when I went to sleep that night I had 200mg of diphenyl hydramine.

I'm having a blood test in a few weeks but I doubt that they will find much.

Kind Regards,

Joe

Thanks for updating us, Joe! :)

I'm glad to hear that you're improving.

Seriously though, lay off the alcohol for a while. 5 to 8 pints of 5% lager everyday is quite a large amount of ethanol, your body can't handle that much on a consistent basis. I bet if you take a week or two off, you'll be just fine.

I wish you a continued recovery. :) <3

Yeh I probably will for a week or two after this weekend. I've actually had a tiny bit of speed today because I've got a load of coding to do but it seems ok. Taking regular walks around the room etc.

Thanks for the support. I love people who sign their messages with hearts and stuff :)
