I just started taking vyvanse and was wondering how often they test for exact amounts in your urine. I am also seeing a addiction psychologist

it’s is not proper to extrapolate dosages being taken from urine. Blood must be taken. But most medical doctors are confused about this and think urine can show dosage, but have no specific concentration….just if it “seems too high”
There’s publications about toxicology that say this; that dosage can’t be accurately gleaned from urine.

They can easily tell via urine sample if you’re taking therapeutic doses as prescribed as it falls in a range…..they can tell a massive spike in serums levels X3 standard levels in controls which indicates abuse of higher then prescribed doses
Vyvanse take 3h for active d-Amphetamine to be at C-Max and lasts 8-12h
Vyvanse 20mg = 5.9mg d-Amph (as per Shire Pharmaceuticals)
Vyvanse 40mg = 12mg of d-Amph in bloodstream
It’s a gradual soft increase in plasma levels and tapers of 10-12h as the Amphetamines are metabolized and excreted
