Ex governor for legalization-- your political views?

Check out this video of a Steven Colbert interview -- an ex governor talks about his views on marijuana (I like them). Colbert points out that his pro abortion, pro gay union, pro marijuana legalization views are probably the reason that is the ex-governor.

I am curious, is being in support of marijuana legalization a liberal view? Does anyone support legalization of marijuana but consider themselves republican/conservative?

This guy seems like a libertarian. A libertarian is someone who believes in personal freedom. A republican believes personal freedom is dangerous because people are just too fucking stupid to control themselves. They say they like the constitution but they don't understand the live and let live spirit that it was written in.

I am a libertarian and I believe in legalizing all drugs for all ages. Prohibition doesn't keep adults off drugs and it doesn't keep kids off drugs. Its the work of people's parents to prepare their kid for making decisions. I don't want a black market selling drugs to kids. We've seen the failure of this system already.
