evil lighters?

i always hear some jackass flipping out on someone because they bust out a certain color lighter to light up their cig/bong whatever. They then go on to tell about this one time when....blah blah blah... they got arrested and had a lighter of that color. So i want to hear what colors everyone fears on their Bics. because we all know it is not the lighter's fault.=D
 
White lighters are supposed to be the notoriously unlucky ones, but that's never been my experience. For me, the only unlucky lighters are the ones I forget to bring with me at inconvenient times.... :!
 
obviously the know-it-alls and armchair scientists will come into this thread and try to apply logic like 'all bics are white under its color-coating' and 'its impossible for a certain color lighter to be bad luck'

but fuck it, i have a reason to be paranoid. both times i got arrested i had a white lighter on me. i will stay away from white lighters as long as I live
 
We had a white later when we almost got caught by the cops. Everything wen't fine though. It isnt a very strange coincidence though since all we use are white lighters
 
I Got arrested with two purple, one red and one yellow lighter(s). Does that mean all those colours are bad luck?
 
We were blazin at my friends house and he had a white lighter. His dad comes home right while we were smokin..

That was the first time we used a white lighter since the last time where we almost got arrested with one

I don't make a big deal about other people using white lighters, but I don't carry one. I've known a lot of people who have been busted while carrying a white lighter. It is probably a combination of coincidence and good ol' stoner bullshit. While I don't really believe that "white lighters are DEATH" (to quote a friend of mine), I look at it as one of the oddities of stoner culture. Something to add a little light hearted fun to a very serious topic: how to avoid trouble from authorities.

Note: I have also had friends who carry white lighters BECAUSE of the superstition. They have found that no one will pocket a white lighter.
 
I have heard of yellow lighters being bad luck, I heard a story about someone who will break or throw away any yellow lighters if a friend uses one. He then replaces it with a different color lighter.

Superstitions are dumb.:|
 
I wouldn't use a red lighter to even light a cigarette for a long time there...

The color red REALLY fucked with my head and brought on seriously negative vibes back when I was younger, thanks to a earth-shattering bad trip on L and someone who just wouldn't stop throwing red glowsticks all over the goddamn place.

I've gotten over that now, though.

I wouldn't use a lighter if it had the number "222" on it, though. FUCK '222'!
 
I don't have any superstitions about lighters,
i just really hate those crappy lighters
i have about 4 orange bic's :p
 
i've only been seriously arrested once. i had money and a scale but no lighter what so ever. i cant even remember how that came to be. this is almost a year ago. for some reason they presented no evidence in court and my trial was less than 5 minutes lol. i got money, a razor blade, my old cell phone back last week. still in evidence bags. a nice little souvenir i say
