Updated List of Drugs
800px-Drug_Archive.jpg

I wanted the categories to be understood by most people, not everyone is fluent in pharmacokinetics. I didn't want to split everything up into really specific categories, thats why THC isn't in its own class, if I did what you suggested the list would be much longer because so many more categories would have to be added with little addition of chemicals. Like JWH and THC are so similar I decided to put them together. Yes I have an inhalant in the intoxicant category, but alkyl nitrites I don't believe belong anywhere else. I also didn't want a seperate amphetamine category because they are not that important, the same reason i didn't list every cannabinoid.

well then what you could have done was make a "depressants" catergory where barbiturates, benzodiazepines, GHB, alcohol, etc. would be; then a catergory called "cannabis"(everybody knows cannabis) or put the cannabinoids(THC, JWH) in with a "psychedelics" catergory(as cannabinoids are psychedelics just weak ones), both would be in the broader "hallucinogens" class where the dissociatives and deliriants would be.

here basicaly what i'm suggesting(note this not a "complete" list):

Depressants
- barbiturates
- benzodiazepines
- nonbenzodiazepines("z-drugs)
- alcohol(ethanol)
- GHB
- methaqualone
- meprobamate
- chloral hydrate
- ether

Hallucinogens
*Psychedelics
- LSD
- LSA
- mescaline
- cannabis/cannabinoids(THC, JWH)
- psilocybin
- ibogaine
- DMT
- MDMA
- MDA
- myristicin
- AMT
- 2C-B
- 2C-T-7
*Dissociatives
- ketamine
- PCP
- DXM
- nitrous oxide(also an inhalant)
- ibotenic acid
*Deliriants
- datura
- diphenhydramine
- dimenhydrinate

Opioids
- heroin
- morphine
- codeine
- oxycodone
- hydrocodone
- tramadol
- fentanyl
- kratom

Stimulants
- amphetamines/methamphetamine
- cocaine
- methylphenidate
- caffeine
- nicotine
- propylhexedrine
- ephedrine
- methcathinone

Inhalants
- alkyl nitrites
- butane
- acetone
- nitrous oxide(also a dissociative)

^ u forgot hydromorphone :-P lol

jokin ...

But to be honest . There's so many drugs out there and a pathetic little picture chart isn't the most effecient and effective way of listing them

You forgot Demerol (Meperidine), Darvon (propoxyphene), Methadone and Dilaudid (hydromorphone) under the opioid chart. lol j/k

pwned man

come back with another diagram.

Lol trust me when I say there's no pleasing us bluelighters .

Epic Fail. Though I like the idea. I wonder wut things u could do to make up a better list..like make some type of JPEG list that scrolls through the different drug classes?

It's called an database ....like erowid !(kinda)

I'm 17 and can figure that out .

Unless you had a huge ass poster or picture there's no way of doing it

I was in the hospital a month ago or so and the nurses seem to not be familar with actual drug names, only brand names.ex.. the say Vicodin instead of hydrocodone with apap 10/500 or whatever...and no one nurses or physicans knew what Vyvanse was,the hospital pharmacy did not even have it!!!
I had to have some brought from myhouse!!! Vyvanse has been out for several years and damn, nurses and doctors should know what Vyvanse is,used for ADD after all,and its not as common as Ritalin or Adderall, but I find many doctors know less about some drugs than I do!!!
But then again I study and read about all kinds of drugs and shit so..those doctors need a degree from Bluelight to practice I think!!! Or let me write out scripts for drugs..lol..I would be dead within a few months if I could write out scripts though..lol

i also forgot oxymorphine, nicomorphine, levomethorphan, dihydrocodone, dihydromorphine, ethylmorphine, and many other opioids...

as i said the chart i made was a rough example of how a better chart would look like. i wasn't trying to make a huge detailed chart of every drug and what it does and how it does it.

it was just my idea of how a good chart would look like.

ER doctors are notorious for being incompetent, uncaring fucks. I was in a REALLY bad car accident a few years ago & numerous doctors have told me that the "treatment" I received (or didn't receive, more like) was bad enough so that I should sue the hospital. Too bad suing a hospital is practically impossible, which probably is a big reason that ER doctors act the way they do.

The last time I had to go to the ER, they asked my father if he was alright with them prescribing me Percocet... & I'm 21 years old! & they had absolutely no reason on earth to believe I'd ever abused drugs in my life (I of course have, but there was no way for them to know it), & there was no question that I really was in severe pain because the ER themselves figured out what the source of my pain WAS... & they had to ask my FATHER permission to prescribe me painkillers?! What the fuckkk? Even my dad was pissed as hell that they did that. ... & that was one of the best ER experiences I've ever had!

&, in response to everybody bitching about the sign the OPer made [or "made"... I don't care which]: Did any of you even bother to read the first half of the first sentence of the OP? "Well I compiled a list of all the most common drugs" ... I repeat, "most common drugs". Maybe the thread title was badly worded, but if you'd bothered to read anything beyond the title you would have realized that the POINT wasn't to list every single drug known to man.
&, regardless, it just seems ridiculous to me how much flaming that person received for something so trivial. Why not make a better graphic yourselves instead of telling him what's wrong with his?

"Most Common Drugs" I perceive Midazolam as a common drug. It is "very" commonly used in dentistry surgeries and in hospitals. Its not exotic.

Maybe not if you're a dentist or if you're hanging out in hospitals all the time.

... However, most people aren't.

I wouldn't say it's "exotic", but, yeah, I'd certainly say it's not "common".

Oddly enough, I actually do happen to spend way too much time in hospitals (surgeries to repair car crash injuries), & I actually totally had no idea what Midazolam was. After googling it, I realized I've probably been given it at least once before a surgery, so regardless of everything else I am totally glad that you brought it up... Now I know why that mysterious "medicine to help calm me down" that they always offer me before surgery doesn't really have any effect on me, given my Benzo tolerance...
