Funny. My boyfriend and I were just talking about this the other night. He has been addicted to meth for 10 years now. (however 3 years barely count cause he was in prison. Yup, he still did it in there but only twice) Meth ruined his life. He was an all star baseball player all through high school and college. He could have done SO much with his life, but then he gave into peer pressure. He didnt want to be the good baseball player anymore, he wanted to be a "bad boy" and he started using. He told me along time ago he would have to force himself to use, so people would think he was "cool" and he could never say no when offered drugs. He did that for quite sometime, until one day he was hooked. Lost his wife, kids, house, baseball scholarships, he lost everything. He says all the time, "why did I care so much about what people thought? Why couldn't I have just been me?"
