Long time lurker, first time poster. BL has been been a great resource for close to a decade so hopefully you can help dig me out of this one as well.

Ive been taking .5mg of etizolam twice daily for about ~5 months and I wish to stop using. Suddenly I realized I couldn't remember the last day I didn't take it and decided now is the time to quit. I've been self medicating my general anxiety so luckily I haven't felt the need to move up from the 1mg a day but I'm broke af and it's just not a habit I can afford to afford.

Can I safely go cold turkey without seizing? Should I taper? I have tablets, not powder, and have a little under 40 left. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Tapering is always a good idea. Especially after 5 months. If you don't taper its gonna suck and you could have a seizure.
